La Quinta by Wyndham Granbury

The hotel smaller musky, like mildew or mold. The room had black mold on the ceiling. We tried checking out early but they informed they wouldn’t check me out. I had to call Expedia for a refund. Expedia advised I needed to speak to them about a refund. Not a good experience.

The property was in a quiet area and felt extremely safe and well lit considering the location is pretty vacant.

Solid hotel for a stop in Granbury

Tv did not work nor did charger for phones

This is a dirty property with cockroaches in different rooms. They go cheap on pest control, so their guests have to deal with cockroaches. I booked a presidential suite for my guests, and they got it together with roaches. La Quinta offered to move my guests to another room (smaller), but it also had roaches in it, so they had to leave and stay elsewhere. Next Expedia won’t refund the amount. They offered to refund a quarter of the amount I paid and called it (half) to my face. Is $127 half of $487.88? Because this is Expedia’s math. This is what they are refunding for this horrible experience where we couldn’t even stay at the hotel.

SWIMMING POOL WAS GREEN AND DIRTY NO LOUNGE CHAIRS- ONLY 4 CHAIRS THAT WE SAT IN AND FELL THROUGH THE SEAT- TORN UP NO UMBRELLA OR SHADE AREA- NO SECURITY CAMERAS OR LOCK ON GATE WORKING THEY WERE CLEANING IT WHEN WE GOT THERE BUT HAD TO BE REALLY BAD BEFORE COULDN'T GET IN IT- HOT TUB NOT WORKING ALL REASONS WHY YOU ENJOY GOING TO A HOTEL TO USE A POOL AND WE COULDN'T GET IN IT WOULD HAVE CANCELLED AND WALKED OUT IF I HADN'T USED BOOKING, COM I TOLD MANAGEMENT- THEY SAID NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE WE BOOKED IT THROUGH BOOKING, COM

There was a terrible sewer gas type smell throughout the hotel that never went away during our stay. Several other guests I talked to had the same comment. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk did not seem concerned and I felt she brushed me off. We have stayed at several other La Quintas thru the years and loved all of our stays up until this most recent one in Granbury.

My stay was generally good. I would probably stay again. The front desk was very kind. However, there was an odd sharp smell on the main floor. If that had been same on the third floor where I stayed I would not have been able to tolerate it. The daily service was efficient to replace supplies daily which was very appreciated.

It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well stocked and fresh.
