"Lovely break from start to finish"

Everything was superb, the hotel was spotless, staff fantastic, restaurants great, bars brilliant, location is great, room was wonderful and the air conditioning was so good with giving you a nice sleep after the heat of Valletta

The location was fantastic with only a short walk into Valletta. Lovely pool with plenty of room around the pool. Great choice for breakfast, everything was catered for. Staff were lovely, very friendly and polite.

Sun loungers were so uncomfortable. One of the brace bars underneath were situated right where your lower back would rest. Made it very uncomfortable to sit upright in them to read.

"A perfect place to stay"

This hotel has everything you might want directly on site: several restaurants, bars, an indoor and an outdoor pool plus an ocean area to swim. The staff was amazing! We needed to extend our stay for a day because of a death in the family (we needed to cancel the rest of our trip elsewhere). The person at the desk went above and beyond to give us the same room we had been in for one more night even though the hotel was fully booked. All of the staff did their best to ensure we had a wonderful stay. A very friendly and helpful place!

"Grand Hotel Excelsior June '26 Review"

Great location. Staff were very friendly. It was really clean, beautiful views. Great facilities and the food was really good.

Communication around room allocation when twin room was request on booking was not great. I booked a twin and wasn't told until arrival that this wasn't possible, there is only one per floor. So the first night I had to have a camp bed added into the room and then we moved rooms the next day. The hotel did help with the issue but upfront communication was poor.

- hotelul era destul de vechi, parca cu o patina de învechit, ne întreținut - deși au trecut 20 de zile nu am primit încă garanția achitată - deși am bonul dat de hotel că se va returna

Location, the pool, the views, the gym

Dated room decor, dated bathroom (it had a shower curtain in a 5 star hotel). The fact we didn't have a separate shower. Unprofessional attitude of supervisors at breakfast & around the pool to staff
