The staff is absolutely amazing. We loved every second of our stay!

Magnificent hotel in a lovely environment, although being close to a road, there is little traffic and therefore calm. The staff is very welcoming and warm. We ate there, refined cuisine, with an astonishing French-inspired menu, but adapted to American tastes, the chef is French. Breakfast was also excellent.

The property Inn Keeper was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately for them, they had a tenant run over a bathtub on the top floor which spilled down into the room we had reserved. They gave us a different room and accommodated our 3rd person party with a slight upcharge for a second room for the inconvenience. The room smelled musty but I feel that this will be resolved quickly as we came on a Monday and the issue occurred over the weekend. Sheets and bedding was clean and sanitized. Towels and wash cloths were clean. The soap provided was lovely lavender Vermont soap. Please note: there are no elevators or ramps for luggage. We hauled our suitcases up the stairs. One of us had back surgery and this made things difficult. Another lady who was a senior citizen was in the lobby pulling out items bc she couldn’t get her suitcase up. When asked, Jean at the front desk stated, “any abled-body person would not have any trouble navigating the stairs.” I’m pretty sure she is gone soon as the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful..Jose at breakfast was delightful and the food was extremely good with homemade bread used for toast. Quite lovely view as well. All in all it was a good stay.

The building was beautiful and very well equipped. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The drive up to our accommodation was a little bumpy

From start to finish, this was a great stay. We arrived in time to enjoy a bottle of champagne (which we brought along) seated on the front porch of the entrance. We were pleased to open our room #4 door to a room in the hotel proper, which was large, very clean, bright and sunny. The bathroom has been recently updated with an enormous shower/tub with a radiant heat floor. Toasty warm feet on a chilly fall morning! The breakfast included in the price of the room was beyond expectation, and we were seated in the glassed in atrium portion of the restaurant. The coffee and eggs were excellent, and the service was attentive.

Great little Inn! Clean, nice decor in the room. Great food in the restaurant. Staff was very helpful. I can recommend with no reservations.

Rooms are large, breakfast okay but no healthy choices

The character and decor, a good looking large comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Breakfast choice was a limited but great food.

Very noisy air conditioner.

Breakfast was great. Loved the gardens and the ambience within the building.
