Placencia Resort

Very well maintained and neat to see so many iguanas on the property.

The Placencia Hotel boasts a sprawling compound and a gorgeous big pool, perfect for unwinding and soaking up the Belizean sun. The staff truly shines here – they’re friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. While my overall experience was enjoyable, the restaurant menu could benefit from more variety. With a few more options, it would be even better.

Hey, it looks just like the Pictures!!! Those were my first thoughts walking in on my first day. This Resort is well WORTH the money 💴. The PLACENCIA HOTEL is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ RESORT. To be clear I am NOT a Beck & Call kinda person, nor will I ever be so I don’t need 4/5 star experiences to have a good time. I need: CLEAN ⭐️, SAFE ⭐️⭐️, and COMFORTABLE( conveniences) ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Anything more you start rackin up more stars 😊. The workers here are so down to earth nice & hard working & receptive( they are on it, when you’re asking.) You can see some maintenance & attention to detail things that will stand out. For instance we all know that ANY & EVERY Hotel has issues where things come up completely unexpected, correct?But in a 4/5 star experience it’s about how timely the situation is addressed & resolved, & they are also much more focused on presentation to some of the smallest details. Honestly, The Placencia Hotel Resort is just a couple of consistent things away from being a FOUR STAR experience. Here are the Answers to the 2 Big Questions that a person should be concerned with. 1) Would I stay here again? ( YES) 2) Would I recommend them to friends/ family. ( YES) I very much Enjoyed my stay. There is another thing to note. The hotel is called The Placencia Hotel Resort, however it is actually 11 miles North of the town of Placencia. The town of Placencia is where a lot of the water activities start from. However this Hotel does offer a shuttle for eveywhere. At no extra

Outdoors. Beautiful flora and fauna. Nice pool. Excellent fried jacks and hash browns.

No hangers in the room. Coffee maker with only one serving of coffee. For the price I expected I won't need to be calling for coffee and sugar. The young lady in the restaurant did know the difference between instant and perk coffee. Could not explain how dishes were prepared. Sorry I love coffee and food. No notices on emergency plan. Layout of facilities in the room. Nothing to read and the place itself.

Quiet resort with a high level of customer service from the front desk, transportation and maintenance personnel.

Preferably not to comment. Was not happy at all since my stayed in Belize was just for the weekend n i was just lookimg to have a good time. Which wad far from thatwith all shenanigans that was happening around my brief stayed disappointed!!

The property is very beautiful and well taken care of. The staff was incredible from the front desk to house keeping and taxi drivers! The Placencia offers transportation in town and arranges pick up for fun stuff to do as well.i will definitely stay there again! The locals are great people! Super friendly and accommodating! I love Belize and their people!

Beautiful property, friendly staff, large pool area great for adults and children, onsite restaurant was a plus. Parking is a good distance from some rooms/buildings. The room was the only thing lacking for our stay. Dated, squeaky bed, dim bathroom lighting, limited space to hold things in room (could be set up better), only two standard pillows on our bed.

The outside grounds were impeccable. Pool area & landscaping were stunning. Rooms were very dated & worn out. Old, giant jet tub & broken tiles in bathroom. Dim, CFL bulbs in lamps. Not 1 single USB outlet in rooms.Large veranda with gorgeous views, but only 2 small, wooden beach chairs to sit in, but it was too hard to get in or out of, so we didn’t sit out there. Breakfast in restaurant was very good. Dinner at outdoor spot was just so-so. Pool staff was great. No shuttle working. Also, a 25 minute drive to village. No walking to village.

Atmosphere around the beautifully maintained pool was fun for both children and adults. I observed lots of playful family activities.

Dinner menu limited choices with no sides listed on menu. Prices high.
