Location within a very cute and walkable town

Not that I didn’t like this, but it’s one of the criticisms I have for smaller boutique hotels and that is restaurant bar closes early. This is a holiday weekend and it would’ve been nice if those things are open until midnight rather than closing at nine.

I agree with other reviewers. There are some really nice things about this hotel -- primarily the courtyard which is a very inviting place to sit. The room itself (a King) was cold. The color palette is blacks, greys, and white. There are no cozy elements to make you feel comfortable. I don't suspect they can change this, but I didn't feel comfortable in the room. (From the pictures, it looks like some rooms have cozy rugs. My room did not -- just a grey floor.)

"Great Location, Average Hotel"

You are paying for the location of this hotel. It is in the center of quaint Clairemont Village and within a 5 minute walk to several very nice restaurants. It is also an easy walk to the Clairemont Colleges. The hotel itself is a bit basic but clean. Room features and amenities are comparable to the Doubletree a mile away which costs half as much.

Very comfortable room. Pull out couch better than expected. Lobby bar and atrium area lively, but not loud. Helpful front desk staff made some great suggestions around town. Great experience overall.

Loved the convenience to the college tours and to restaurants/downtown. Bed was comfortable. Room was tidy. A lot of noise from neighbors and courtyard. Some trash smells, average cleanliness. Food was decent and a nice perk. Staff were super friendly and responsive.
