Sister Trip at Casa 425 in ClaremontVillage. This rare gem exceeded expectation. STAFF: No matter how charming a venue, it’s always the STAFF that makes for a great stay—425 staff did not disappoint. Vanessa and Roman were exceptional. HOTEL: The building is clean-lined, spotlessly clean, three-stories, modern, white stucco with 28 suites, lobby, lounge, courtyard. SUITES: We stayed in Suite 306, very large 2 Q beds, a wooden bed-height bench at foot of each bed. Includes a large sitting area, a dining area with table and chairs; a balcony. BATHROOM: deep soaker bathtub, sink and wide counter, separate walk-in shower and toilet. ENTRY: large and includes a bench on the right and a doorless closet on the left and a beverage station with coffee pods, coffee maker, glass jugs for refilling the coffee maker, creams, sweeteners, stir sticks, high quality cookies, and a mini fridge. There may have been a microwave, but we didn’t use it. EVERY AMMENITY AND DETAIL THOUGHTFUL: The light switches and electric outlets are exactly where you would first expect them to be. The design and décor are understated, simple, clean. Robes and slippers, makeup remover wipes, cotton swabs, cotton cloth for makeup removal/face, full length mirror, a tiny satin bedside bag with earplugs – which were not needed, but so thoughtful. LOUNGE: 7 to 9 a.m. an array of breakfast items is prepared for guests at no charge. Fresh fruit, egg and other protein dishes, breads, juices, overnight oatmeal in individual glass containers – the ones with a lavender dot are lavender oats mmm delicious. Menu for ordering meals, wine, and spirits for day/evening for a charge. LOBBY: relaxing seating area near a fireplace on the right, reception desk in the center, and a beverage station on the left including brewed coffee, hot water for teas, fresh creamers and packaged creamers, fresh water on ice, cups, etc. COURYARD: Seating, tall trees, and lights make this a gracious gathering place. PARKING: available directly across the street in a parking garage at no charge; we didn’t rent a car. Claremont Village is walkable - no car needed.
