Fontana Village Resort & Marina

My husband and I have been camping at the Fontana Village campground for years. The cleanliness standards of the restrooms are NONEXISTENT. The restrooms haven’t been cleaned for five days. I reported this to the front desk and they assured it would be taken cared of. Later in the afternoon when I inquired if it ever got cleaned, they said it was. The pics are of how well they “cleaned”. Their standard of cleanliness is seriously making us question whether we want to continue coming here every year. The restrooms are missing side vents to keep the bugs and critters out. The shower walls are covered with mildew. One bathroom door even has graffiti from 1982! It hasn’t been painted since??

This is a yearly family trip but first time staying here. It is a great location and beautiful resort. Very family and pet friendly with opportunities for daily activities. We are renting a boat today at the marina across the street. We will definitely book again for Next year. Our room is second floor at the lodge.

It was an amazing resort that my family stumbled into. So many amenities that we stayed an extra day. Our room in the lodge was clean and super comfortable.

The room was old and dark. Tv didn’t work no usb plugs to change phone. No kleenex. Mattress was sagging in the middle. It was not worth the money. It was in the Same class as Motel 6 even worse. I think they should pay me some money back because it was so bad. I will never stay there again

We LOVE Fontana Village! The pool is a huge hit as well as mini golf. The restaurants and general store provide all you need for a few days. A great place for a getaway weekend with young kids. This was our second time visiting in 3 years and the improvements they have made recently are great. Continues to be an incredible mountain gem that we hope to continue to visit yearly.

We stayed in Garden A, which is not yet updated (the updates in the Lodge and other areas are incredible!). We entered the room to an incredibly musty smell. The room was very clean but just had a feeling of moisture to it and we couldn't identify any source. However, we don't go to Fontana Village for the room. And the room was by no means a deal breaker and we suspect the Garden rooms will be renovated in the near future. Would also recommend that the resort consider labeling the EV charging area as designated for EVs. We had trouble getting a spot to charge because non-EVs were parked there too.
