Residence Inn by Marriott Newport Middletown

Couldn’t be better!!!! Clean, good location, very well maintained and a fabulous, friendly, professional staff! The breakfast was great with a large assortment and the women who supervised it kept it well stocked and clean at all times. The entire staff was welcoming to us and our kids and grandkids. Really couldn’t be better!

No housekeeping during 2nights staying. Staff at the breakfast is not friendly and cleaning out food items at 10am sharp.

My family and I had an excellent stay.

My husband and I felt right at home for our half work half leisure getaway. The staff was helpful and responsible, our temperature gage in the suite wasn't working one call to the front desk and within 10 minutes a handyman was at our door and the problem was resolved. We stayed almost 2 weeks, I kept extending our stay because I couldn't bear the thought of leaving our mini vacation...lol The pool and jacuzzi was great for our stress relieve, the location is with walking distance to go shopping so you can fully stock your kitchen and the breakfast spread they offer won't disappoint. If you want to take a short walk you can find local restaurants and shopping to keep you entertained.

The only complaint we had was the workers in the breakfast area, they never offered a kind greeting, they all sat at this back table making snide remarks. Not once did they offer their help or guidance, after speaking to the front desk part of their job is to offer you a tray in the event that you want to bring your breakfast back to your room instead they sat at a corner table making snide remarks about the guests. My husband actually confronted one of them after he was sure that the comment was directed towards him. The worker was confrontational instead of apologetic for her lack of customer service or even human kindness.

My bff & I have been staying at this Residence Inn for about 10 yrs & always book a 2 bedrm suite. We come in early Dec. to do Christmas shopping in & around Newport. We used to stay at B&B's but it got to be too expensive. The Res Inn is perfect for us. We each have our own bathroom allowing us to get ready at the same time. We each have our own bedroom which allows us to not disturb each other. The beds & pillows are sooo comfortable. The rooms are clean. & having a kitchen area is a plus. We usually don't cook but make coffee, tea or warm up something & use the refrigerator. The free breakfast is a plus. Parking is easy, right on the property. The only negative is that the 2nd bedroom does not have a full length mirror. I would appreciate having one in that bedroom. We will continue to stay at this Res Inn for as long as we come to Newport for Xmas shopping!

Plenty of room. Clean and well kept. Breakfast was great. Pool and hot tub were excellent. Looking forward to visit again in the future.
