"Ideal location perfect for families"

Nice central location very very close to the town. Nice family sized rooms on the ground floor. We always choose the Great National Hotel when we’re in Ballina. During our stay, the hotel was hosting a wedding, we were completely undisrupted.

"Awful. Never again!!!!"

I got no breakfast for the price I paid which was €165 and on a Thursday night. Not in peak time yet. Rotten hotel. Floors/carpets dirty and stained. Windows never washed. Bed springs broken. Shower like a telephone receiver. Absolutely rotten I want half my money back for the dirt I had to live in for the night

"Geweldig"

Erg vriendelijk personeel en alle voorzieningen beschikbaar in dit hotel. Wij werden enorm verrast met een upgrade van onze kamer omdat het onze huwelijksreis betrof. De locatie is verder ideaal, bedden erg fijn en er is voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

"Avoid this hotel. It’s far from 4 star. Staff don’t seem to know what’s going on in the hotel."

Beds were good nothing else

Not allowed to use the swimming pool because swimming lessons were taking place. Never told about this. No food available after 8pm not even light snacks to room. Barman said there was a vending machine on one of the floors but didn’t know where. He didn’t offer to find out either. No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom.

The meals both the breakfast and the evening meal of fish and chips. The beds were comfortable. Really appreciated the 2 bottles of water.

I found the room too warm. Even with the window open. We both found the room lighting poor. There were small lamps on the bedside tables. But it was impossible to read our books. I would suggest replacing the lamps for headboard mounted lights.
