Loved the fact that you could get a cabana near the beach without having to reserve or pay extra! The facility was so clean- the pool loungers were high and- lots of activities and the food was fantastic!

We just arrived for our two week stay at Cabo Azul…. I don’t think we can afford to stay here and not starve! The prices in the restaurants and bars are ridiculous!!! Ok we thought, let’s go to the shop and have a few meals in our 1 bed apartment. Honestly if you didn’t laugh at the prices, you’d cry!!! How can you charge these massively inflated prices? You charge top dollar for Hilton points and maintenance, then you rip us off when we get here!!! Sooooo disappointing 😥 We spent the last two weeks at Meliã, Paradisus, an all inclusive resort down the road. Eating beautiful food and drinking cocktails all day, brought to our sun-beds by the best staff. Just for the fun of it we worked out what the things we had there, would have cost us here. It came to a staggering $13,000 for 2 people for 2 weeks! lol Nice resort, but not THAT nice. I need to loose weight so maybe their doing me a favour, cause I certainly can’t afford these prices. Won’t be back!

Excellent property, while it may an older property it is so well maintained and taken care of. We were welcomed on our anniversary with a "Happy Anniversary" on our bed in addition to a chocolate ball with strawberries inside. Our room was a 2BR with pool view, there are several pools on the property so if you want more quiet choose an interior pool, the main pool is the one you want if you want a "pool view". This is a more relaxed and calm property so a bit more quiet. We were trying to get the music a little higher volume during happy hour but no dice. The entire staff was exceptional, from keeping the property clean, to attending to all of our needs. It was cool to see how the staff knew a lot of the guests by name it made it more personal. Restaurants, bars, sushi bar etc. were all 1st class with a price to match. It was also awesome being right on the beach for the early morning walks. Would also recommend the art walk on Thursday. We can't wait to go back. Sooner rather than later

Picky traveler here. Lucky enough to have traveled the world first class/5 star during husband’s career. I never review before a visit is over BUT I am making an exception for Cabo Azul. I am gobsmacked by the level of attention, care, friendliness, kindness displayed by the staff here at Azul. Incredibly well trained. The resort is well situated between town (a 10 minute Uber to Cathedral/town center) and Cabo San Lucas but worlds away from the “spring break “ atmosphere of CSL. Neat and clean is an understatement. Looks as though they repaint the entire resort every night LOL. Our 3 bedroom suite is spectacular. Clean, classic decor. Not modern sterile nor exuberant tropical style. The beautiful furniture is crafted specifically for this resort and u will want to take it all home with you. Good restaurants here and within walking distance. Pool area is beautiful. Beach is not swimmable but even diehard beach goers love the 3 tiered pool. Don’t miss Flora Farm for a fabulous dinner and garden experience. 25 min Uber. Can’t say enough about Cabo Azul. Don’t miss it!

Our stay was disappointing overall. While there were a few standout pool attendants who were friendly and attentive, the majority of the staff seemed overworked, disengaged, and unhappy to be there, which really impacted the overall experience. Upon arrival, we were assigned to a room in a building with no functioning elevators, something we were not informed about until we were already being escorted to the room. We were later told that the elevators in this building had been out of service for more than six months, making the lack of prior disclosure even more frustrating. It would have been reasonable to inform guests ahead of time and allow them the opportunity to decide whether they were comfortable staying in that building. After voicing our concerns, the only solution offered was an upgraded room at an additional cost, which felt unreasonable given the inconvenience caused by the resort. Throughout our stay, we overheard numerous other guests expressing frustration about the same elevator issues, as well as the constant construction noise, making it clear this was a widespread problem. The accommodations themselves were underwhelming. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, the sheets felt old and rough, and the pillows were equally worn. While the room size was a positive, the overall comfort level was lacking. The facilities were average at best, with little attention given to creating a truly welcoming or memorable guest experience. There was nothing particularly special about the atmosphere, and it felt more transactional than luxurious. Food quality was good, but service was consistently an issue across the property, and prices were extremely high for what was offered. Drinks were also disappointing, often tasting watered down. Adding to the frustration, there was active construction next door, along with a blocked beach view, which further diminished the ambiance. The main highlights were the spacious room, pool area, beach access, and food quality. However, these positives were overshadowed by poor service, lack of comfort, and overall value concerns. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations, especially for the price. We have been visiting Cabo for over 10 years and have stayed at many incredible resorts without ever having a negative experience until now. There are far too many exceptional resort options in Cabo to settle for this level of disappointment. We strongly recommend choosing a different resort for your vacation.

I loved everything about Cabo Azul

We recently spent four days at Cabo Azul after also spending four days at Hyatt Ziva just down the road. We had previously visited Cabo Azul and loved it — which is exactly why we returned. Unfortunately, this visit will be our last. While the property itself remains beautiful and the service staff are excellent, the pricing for food and beverages has become excessive. Meals for our family of four consistently ranged between $200–$300, with alcoholic drinks priced at $23 each, sodas at $8, coffee at $15, and even a hamburger costing $33 — all before an additional 18% service charge. By the end of each day, our total cost averaged around $1,400 including lodging and meals. In comparison, we stayed at Hyatt Ziva nearby, which is all-inclusive, and paid approximately $750 per night for our family of four. The property is beautiful, the pools are gorgeous, the food quality was excellent, and there was lively entertainment every evening. Cabo Azul, by contrast, felt very quiet and lacked evening energy. We truly wanted to love our return visit, but given the current pricing structure, we would not choose to stay here again. For families looking for better overall value and a more vibrant atmosphere, we would strongly recommend Hyatt Ziva.

Very unsatisfied with the service provided at Cabo Azul. My fiance and I stayed here and loved the resort. We toured the wedding venues and talked with a wedding coordinator at this time. We got a proposal for the wedding for 17k. We thought this was doable considering that the proposal stated that almost everything was included. After paying a 3k deposit, we got in touch with our wedding coordinator. The wedding coordinator then told us that they had “mandatory vendors” that we had to book. After getting quotes from the mandated vendors, the wedding was going to cost well over 40k. Yes, the vendors were going to cost more than the wedding venue. Of course none of this was even slightly mentioned in the proposal. Less than a week after paying the deposit, we had to cancel the wedding because of all of their hidden fees. We asked for a refund of our deposit or at least to give us credit at the hotel. They told us that the wedding department was separate from the hotel, so they couldn’t refund us or transfer the deposit. Needless to say, I feel that Cabo Azul took advantage of my fiance and I. I’m very disappointed and unsatisfied with Cabo Azul and will never be giving them my business again. I would recommend you do the same.

Pool area and restaurants were great.

I didn't like that no one told me there was an auto charge on my checks. I ended up paying hundreds of extra dollars in tips when a tip was already included in the bill. The bed in the room was uncomfortable.
