The property is in a great location and exceptionally maintained. The staff throughout the property are amazing. They go well above and beyond to accommodate you in every way. Great Management which it shows from the moment you arrive at Cabo Azul, all employees are smiling and appear to love working for the HGV Cabo Azul, which is a testament to the Resort Management . Great bosses equal great team! Congratulations!

The only complaint is I wish they would have left the rooms as they were. The designers must have thought people want the more modern look, which is not what everyone wants. I would have left the property Modern as it is and left the rooms as Haciendas which makes it so special. Hopefully they can stop the design of the new look before it’s too late. Cabo Azul is one of my favorite Resorts in the world and it always will be.

My luggage got stolen from their parking lot where we parked our rental car within 10 minutes. Security won’t show us the footage and they are being very unhelpful, rude and sketchy trying to find our luggage. They are claiming they didn’t even see me roll my suitcase into the parking lot which is NOT true. For 10 plus years our family has vacationed there every year and spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this hotel. They only care about making money not your safety or personal items. Save your money and go somewhere else. Very unsafe and not family friendly!

The ground and rooms were great!

The prices at the pool were ridiculous. A simple non alcoholic iced tea was $10 US.

Location was excellent, felt very safe. Lots of kid amenities, great food and service. Concierge was incredibly helpful in booking excursions.

Elevator was broken for the entire stay, many out of service in the hotel gym, no filtered water available at the pool (other than purchasing it at the swim up bar).

We loved out second visit to Cabo Azul. I heard a gentleman wade into the poll saying "I just love this so much". We couldn't agree more. Thanks to Alan and Tomas our caring and friendly pool attendants, and Eduardo and Luis at the restaurant. They are all happy in their positons and seem to genuinely care for their guests - nothing inauthentic about these lovely gentlemen. The Hilton must be doing an outstanding job hiring the right people, onboarding them and retaining them. We saw an employee party in the beautiful chapel area one of the evenings we were there. We'll be back again soon!

This was our 9th trip to Cabo Azul. Both my husband and I agreed it has definitely gone downhill since Hilton took it over, We had problems with bathroom sink immediately upon arrival, ants in the kitchen the next day and the linen was terrible, For a supposedly high end resort I would not expect the sheets at a level you would get at Motel 8. The concierges were less than helpful. They seemed more interested in being on their cell phones than answering questions and helping people. Very unfriendly. We were trying to get reservations at Barrio del Tango and could not get through on our phone. The Concierge said he would try and get back to us.."crickets" The staff in the pool area remained exceptional in their service and friendliness. I would like to recognize Alberto, Maria and Tomas for their great service. Housekeeping remained excellent. As Gold members we had the usual meet and great and high pressure sales pitch to attend an update meeting for owners. Normally we would get our room number there and return there when our rooms were ready to get the keys. This year we were told to get our room keys from the front desk and ended up standing in line for 20 minutes to get them. (Prime check in time) I would definitely downgrade this resort from a 5 to a 3.5 star.

We stayed here last year and absolutely loved it! The resort is beautiful and everything felt reasonably priced at the time. Coming back this year, we were surprised by how much the food and drink prices have jumped. It honestly feels like at least a 30% increase. On our first day, we ordered two margaritas, guacamole and chips, and a smoothie… and the bill came out to $150 USD. That was a bit of a shock. I even looked up a menu from 2025 for the Starbucks/deli that is on property and the price increase is very noticeable. Because of that, we ended up eating across the street and heading into town for most of our meals. I can’t help but think this kind of pricing might push more guests to do the same over time. That said, the resort itself is still stunning, and the service was great. Big shoutout to Thomas, one of the pool attendants, he was fantastic and really made our stay more enjoyable.

2nd time staying here found it to be a bit of a down grade form before it was a Hilton owned resort. It was pricey before but, now it is extremely expensive for the outlets. Better to buy groceries from Mega up the street.

My wife and I visited for a week and had a wonderful time. The property is super clean and very well maintained. What really makes the place is the staff. Everyone makes you feel welcome from check in to check out. We had no trouble getting pool chairs and Tomas made sure we had towels and pillows. He even came by to move our umbrella if the sun got to be too much. Katrina was our housekeeper and she kept the our room spotless. We had a full kitchen and the grocery store was less than a mile away. We walked there and Uber’d back to the hotel where the bell staff grabbed our groceries and brought them to our room. Plenty of restaurants across the street and it’s a nice walk into downtown. All in all a fantastic week and we’ll be back.

Room was great. Clean, huge, great view, wonderful space.

Food exorbitantly priced. Traveling with family of 7. Bill for 3 non alcoholic drinks and guacamole 75. I hate to go to hotels where I don’t want to even order water. Terrible value for food and drinks.
