Amaya Hills Kandy

We have just spent two nights at the Amaya Hills Hotel, it's a few minutes drive from Kandy centre, and has great views of the surrounding area, on a cloudless evening you can watch the sunset behind the hills. The hotel is quite small, but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, we were on the 3rd floor, and had a nice balcony to relax on. The food selection was good and there were a few outdoor tables, however you need to arrive early, or reserve them, as they filled up fast. The staff were very friendly, and helpful Chathumi and Dhiviyan made our check in and check out process seamless. Highly recommended 👌

Mosquitos and bugs can be controlled with daily fumigation

We had a wonderful stay at Amaya Hills, Kandy, and would especially like to appreciate the excellent service we received at the restaurant. Yohan and Danuja were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our dining experience. They made sure we were comfortable, promptly attended to all our requests, and always served us with a warm smile. Their hospitality truly enhanced our stay and made our meals even more enjoyable. Dear Team Amaya, Let me start with thanking Sean De Silva for the reservation and the change of dates due to Ditwah.! Finally made it in March 2026 - Nethmi and Team at the reception...you are so precise! Next Thusitha at the Bell Desk and Sanjeeva. Thusitha was soo good as I when i checked in it was a hot afternoon and the assistance provided to take our bags to the room was not just a any ordinary experience. It was one of a kind for sure. Next ambience of the room, the hotel overall, the dining room, the food so good. We met Chef Ravindu and afew of his team members. Excellent Food, the menu had items which was not available at other hotels in the area which really made a difference...The staff in the dining area was extra caring and pleasant...the garden where we took a walk ...sooo relaxing....and well maintained. At the time of the check out it was Sanjeeva who took our bags down. Even security officers were very service oritented. Amazing Customer Service and a weekend we will not forget at all and will definitely recommend our friends and family.....Thanks so much.....!!!

Everything is superb, excellent

Pool and view were amazing.

Service extremley slow. My daughters be was full of ants. Lots of mosquitos even though we kept doors closed. Breakfast very basic. Coffee was an extra cost.

Food was not good, staff was kinda lethargic. Shower had leakages and bathroom was too tiny

Hotel in posizione panoramica molto bello e accogliente Struttura grande (erano presenti anche gruppi di turisti) ma molto bene organizzato. Efficienza e gentilezza dello staff, in particolare le receptionist Tharani e Nethmi Peccato essere rimasti solo una notte! Sicuramente da consigliare per un piacevole e rilassante soggiorno a Kandy, fuori dal caos della città. La vista è spettacolare

The hotel is lovely. We ordered some speacial vegetarian food as soon as we arrived. The chef Ashan went above and beyond to serve us. We were extremely pleased with his service. Thankyou so much Ashan. Hope Ashan gets recognised .

Location was extraordinary with good views of surrounding area from its high perch. The service from all staff was excellent and courteous from start to finish. Our special thanks goes to the chef Ashan who went out of his way to satisfy our requests for our vegetarian food. Highly recommended.
