This was our second visit to Amaya Hills and was almost a perfect stay. The room on the 1st floor was spacious and had a good view. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. This was during a busy long weekend and they never lost their cool. The food was very good - just falling short of being excellent. However I'm rating 4 stars instead of 5 due to the following incidents. 1. Super late check-in. I specifically requested for rooms to be ready by 2pm before arriving since we have a toddler. The room was ready only at 3.45 PM 2. ⁠One security guard on duty was too keen to get our vehicle out of the porch - badgering us to move even before we got our toddler out of the car. 3. ⁠I had fully paid for my stay while making a reservation online. However when checking out after everything was checked and I was about to drive away a saree clad lady from the front office (her title badge read as Asst. Manager if I'm not mistaken) came up to the car and said that there was a pending payment - I had to again get out of the car and walk back to the reception until she fumbled around with the system and said there was no payment to be made. While appreceating the fact that this was a busy weekend this was still very unprofessional.

We had an amazing holiday at Amaya Hills in April 26. All the staff were lovely and especially Savangeetha who looked after our room and had lovely flowers decorated in our room as a surprise on one of the evenings. Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday.

We had a perfect experience in the restaurant with Yohan as our waiter. His service made our dinner a memorable experience, with also giving us advice on souvenirs for out teenage children

Amaya Hills Hotel offers a memorable stay, especially for those who appreciate scenic beauty and a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning misty sunrise—watching the soft light break through the hills while surrounded by drifting clouds was truly unforgettable and easily the standout moment of the trip. The hotel itself has a charming, traditional feel that reflects local character and heritage. While this adds to its authenticity, some areas do feel slightly dated and could benefit from a refresh. That said, the overall ambiance remains warm and inviting. We had a family room which was spacious, but it did have some issues with mosquitoes, likely due to the high ceilings allowing them to hide. The buffet, unfortunately, was a bit underwhelming. While there was a reasonable selection, the quality and variety didn’t quite meet expectations for a hotel of this standard. Additionally, although there were plenty of staff, the service didn’t always feel as attentive or efficient as it could have been. Despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel still delivers a pleasant experience overall. The breathtaking views, tranquil setting, and unique charm make it a worthwhile stay. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to travelers looking for relaxation and beautiful surroundings.
