The Jacobean Hotel

Lovely hotel, reception staff were friendly and the room had clearly just been renovated. The room was spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable, with a variety of pillows. It also had an iron and ironing board and plenty of coat hangers which sometimes are lacking

The television relies on the Internet to watch, however then signal was not stable enough to allow this.

Think the breakfast was good but ideally lasting until 11, for people with late check out

A couple of DIY jobs needed doing around the barn and on the ceiling near the window. An addition of a toaster/microwave or something like that in some of the rooms, for a wider facility option for guests.

Bus stop right outside, overlooked trees and field, found a nature walk nearby, walking distance into village, window opened, iron and board already in room although didn't use

There was no fan in room/temperature control or vent/fan in shower room, had to ration our tea/coffee supplies to avoid extra costs, rain shower is great but hard to wash and keep hair dry at the same time, dogs barking in other rooms and knowing there might have been dogs in our room previously

everything was better than expected for the money we paid. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless and comfortable. The bar was very well staff for the amount of people in the hotel which was very nice to see.

Couldn't fault it.

The location is good. Not noisy and they have pub service, a very good garden with very good sun umbrella

The shower soaked the bathroom. Poor design more than anything.

It was very clean, the bathtub in the room was brilliant. All of the necessary amenities included.

Water would come out from the shower into the main room.

Lovely staff , very quiet, great location. Super breakfast and great value for money 😀
