"Excellent"

We enjoyed the visit and the position of the hotel is amazing. We hardly saw any staff in the 3/4 days we were there, and were disappointed with the food.

"Beautiful spot for a restful break"

Reception staff and manager very helpful at check in when they managed to change our room to an accessible one, even though the hotel was nearly full. Bedroom spacious. Breakfast staff very friendly and breakfast excellent. Location of hotel couldn't be better with beautiful views of Rutland water.

Such a beautiful venue, gorgeous room overlooking the garden; pheasant, woodpecker, wonderful location, the mist over the reservoir was so mystical! From the moment I stepped in all the staff I met were so friendly and helpful, I look forward to my next stay with you. Highly recommend.

"Could do better."

First night all around the hotel was cold, even though the bar had a lovley open fireplace no one had lit. Had to clean stains off the headboard before I went to bed, not great! Pillow was very lumpy. And could barely find my room as the hall way light was never switched on, I had to use the torch on my phone. The bathroom light was faulty and kept flashing and making banging noises, also the bathroom fan was very loud. I’ve probably made this sound worse than it was but all the above was how it was at the hotel. Good points were staff were nice and grounds were lovley, food wasn’t bad either.

The room was newly renovated because I still smelled a hint of paint. The room was spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and immaculate. The location was great for walking around Rutand Waters. Breakfast was also great! We also had dinner there which was sumptuous. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

"Good but eat elsewhere!"

A lovely hotel with a great view. However food especially the evening meal was dreadful we had to send it back and still got charged a whopping £80 for the two of us. Breakfast charged at £12 for a cooked meal was very basic and food looked as through it had been sitting there for a few hours However staff were very helpful and friendly/
