This historic lodging is not for everyone. The location is not the best for first-time NOLA visitors, it is not near restaurants, transportation, or attractions, but is located in the residential heart of the quarter. It most certainly is not good for anyone with a handicap, the narrow walkways, stairs, and tight inner courtyard is a challenge for anyone with a challenge. Wheelchairs would never fit. I also felt that in an emergency, exiting the hotel area could be a problem: there is only one way out, and if it would be blocked...you would be trapped. As for the rooms, they are very attractive and have an historic feel. The bathroom lacks some privacy. There is no chair in the room, so if you want to eat something it is either sit on the bed or go outside to the patio area. Finding a breakfast spot was a problem, since many restaurants that said they were open were not open until 11 am. Experienced NOLA visitors can handle this, but first timers may be frustrated. If you know your way around, and want to experience an authentic historical hotel, this could be worth a visit, but if you are seeking convenience, consider finding a spot closer to Canal St. or that side of the Quarter.

Course customer service

I knew, in part, what I was in for regarding the condition of the Inn as I've stayed in almost all owned by the same people & loved each for their own charms. I actually love the older, authenticity of these rooms/ Inns. The exterior has all of the character of the historic area & the rooms are comfortable but the bathroom & room itself could have been cleaned better. The door took both of us to open it due to the heat & age, they stick which was fine but be prepared to struggle. The gap under the door to the outside made me uneasy due to the amt of critters we saw in the courtyard & surrounding area around the Inn. The main reason for the lower score was the location. During the day, it's fine, but when you're walking back at 1am, you find yourself practically running because it's downright terrifying in this area. So keep this in mind when booking. It's comfortable & cute but the safety aspect or feeling of the lack of safety in the area will prevent me from booking here again unless I uber to & from the short distance from city center.

I will stay again. The customers service is amazing And rhis hotel is super amazing they have this websites you go and you could leave your stuff there for security while you enjoy new Orleans. You get there early and your room is not ready dont worried thos hotel we take care of your stuff. We stay there and our plane got delay while we waited we wanted to walk more and we left it there and they took her of it. Amazing

Close and convenient nice proximity to great restaurants

Door were stuck and had to push your whole shoulder into both sets of French doors to get them to open. My shoulder now hurts from doing for five days. They did not give us fresh towels for three days and I had to go after them for that. One towel per person is not acceptable . I also had to go after them for toilet paper. They never came in and changed the sheets or trash for 5 days. Office was supposed to have coffee and hot tea. Went in to get hot tea. They had no hot water. What a total disappointment
