The Stromness Hotel

Lovely old building. Staff were very friendly.

Lots of stairs. No lift available. Not suitable for those with mobility issues. Very limited parking.

Extremely hot water and a mixing system inadequate. Toilet seat minus the holder on one side making it unsafe for sitting. The entire building is experiencing serious deferred maintenance. Once was a proud part of Stromness is looking less so. However, your staff was excellent as was the food.

Location

100years old and looked it paid about 3 times what it was worth Restaurant poor reflected by the fact it was always empty . Room was not cleaned or visited during my 3 night stay.also I discovered that the rate I paid through booking.com was inflated by over £100/night from the normal hotel rate which I wish to complain about

Straight off the ferry right in town. Old school charm.

Stairs! The lift should be a priority repair/upgrade.

An empty, dilapidated shell of a hotel. Terrible and dangerous entrance from car park, extension cables running along the corridor, dirty, rattling windows, dusty headboard, hairs on side table,an absolute disgrace of a hotel(?). Didn’t stay the second night, that bad.

Valgte hotellet fordi det lå sentralt. Tradisjonell frokost med greit utvalg. Restaurant var hyggelig og maten var veldig god

Rommet var støyete. Antakelig fra vifte fra hotellets kjøkken. Vinduet var ikke mulig å åpne. Rommet burde hatt to lenestoler.
