Hotel San Giorgio

We booked a junior suite that was split level - which I did not see until confirmation (but still did not think much about it). When we arrived in room - which was great and lovely balcony - we found the bathroom on one level and a spiral stairway to the bedroom. The pictures don’t really show this. My wife has a hidden lack of mobility and was not able safely to go up and down these stairs. I went back to the reception to explain and at first he was very unhelpful. After about 10 mins of fussing he found a small double on another floor. I asked if this was the same price but can see in fact when looking in advance it’s not. He told me it was.

I felt the reception staff where rude and on a separate occasion the next morning two where having a heated debate about something in front of the guest and seemed unaware that I was there and it was unprofessional. 2nd point is that for a 10 min walk to the cruise they charge (for 2 passengers) €35 for a transfer to the ship !!

Excellent services offered in a warm atmosfere in this family run 4 star hotel! We arrived late and ended up in the wron terminal at Fco airport but Matteo at the front office helped us locate our driver Germano that brought ua safly to the hotel. Matteo also arranged for a late metal for us in the lovely Bistrot 34 where we enjoyed the best italian home made pasta After a nice sleep in comfortable beds we had the best breakfast served by friendly staff and the left the hotel with their superb shuttle service down to our cruise ship. Super well arranged service from warm and friendly staff, will deffinitely return back!!!!

I also found everything to be very reasonable in terms of value, especially considering the quality of service and overall experience. Without question, I will be returning to the San Giorgio Hotel in the future. This stay was more than just comfortable—it was a grand experience. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was chaotic! Running out of items, tables for people to sit and general mayhem. Charging guests 35 euros to take us to the cruise port was taking advantage. On our return we paid 6 euros from the port to the train station so this was disappointing. Most inconvient however was the party that went on right above our room until 12.40am. This kept us awake and therefore we did not have a good sleep.
