Garner Hotel Oklahoma City - Quail Springs by IHG

The location was great. We were going to the Mall, which was less than a mile away. The rooms were clean and comfy. Staff was friendly.

The Garner is a very no-frills hotel. It reminded me of the Motel 6 concept. The room was clean. Expect the bare minimum of amenities. I had to ask for an ice bucket, cups, hand soap and hangers. Then there are ice machines on only 2 floors. It was supposedly updated, but looks unfinished. After I checked out, an additional "mystery charge" of $7.05 appeared on my credit card. The note with it said the hotel had a right to add additional charges. This should be stated up front and during the checkout process. The breakfast is adequate--breads, fruit, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, a waffle maker, yogurt.

The property, location and rooms were very nice.

In general, it’s a bland soulless hotel. OK, I expected that. I picked it because I was coming in late, and it seemed like a safe area. Hotel and area do seem safe. But, half the lights didn’t work and the staff was apathetic. WiFi seemed to be acceptable.

Check in was a mess. Pool water was very hot. My son tripped on an area next to the pool where a chair lift used to be that had a rusty pipe sticking out. The man at the front desk was not the least bit concerned about the blood around the pool or my son. We have multiple random charges that were charged without explanation and have yet to be refunded. Air conditioning stopped working during the night. Overall this was a horrible experience and would not recommend staying here.

when we got there the room was nice and very comfortable the thing i didnt like there was so much chlorine in the pool mine and my daughters hair is ruined there is nothing i can do to make it get out its so bad and the swim suites been washed 3 times still smells like chlorine and the pool was super cloudy any way which i kinda thought there is to much chlorine but the kids were so excited to swim

No soap in the bathroom. No iron and the hairdryer did not work. Not enough parking and the lot was dark.

We stayed the previous weekend and had an excellent experience. This time we left a drink out from the night before and had ants on our table the next morning. The staff was quick to not charge us for our room.

From entering the hotel to checking out it was a completey disappointing experience. I reserved our room at least 6 weeks ago for a double queen suite room. I even got an email 2 days prior confirming our room choice and reservation. When we got there, no one was at the desk and we had to call out to see if anyone was there. The woman was pleasant, took our name and looked for our reservation. She then had a confused look. A reservation with nobroom. She told us she gave our room away to someone who checked in before us and now the only double queen rooms had been blocked off for a wedding. She said reservations never guarantee the room you want. That was new. It took several hours to unblock a room, sorry wedding party. We had to get a new key every day. The male desk person couldn't figure out how to make 2 keys, so we only got 1 key. The cleaning staff cleaned in the evening and you could hearcthem. There was supposed to be an ice machine on our floor and there wasn't. The fire alarm went off Sunday morning. When we got downstairs, male desk attendant was on the phone with what sounded like he was talking to friends or family, and we had to ask if there was a fire. It was just a burnt waffle. Our bill was incorrect. We made a reservation for 3 people in a room that sleeps 4 and we were charged extra for a 3rd person. That hasn't happened before. The jug of water in the lobby looked dirty and the coffee machine was dirty and empty. In the bathroom they provided conditioner and body wash but no shampoo. You also have to go to the front desk to request an ice bucket.

Stayed for a quick family trip. Location was great. Room was ok. Suprised there wasnt a coffee maker or paper cups in the room . Body soap was empty the whole stay and was never checked. Breakfast was good the first morning after that breakfast was hard to come by. Staff was friendly when we saw them but they were few and far between. Would we stay there again. Yes we would just for the location .
