Breaffy House Hotel

Was really looking forward to this trip as had reviewed it in detail on social media. Was disappointed by it to be honest. No AC and it was so hot. Tiny gap in the one window in the room to let some air in, really unacceptable for a "4 Star" hotel. They need to advertise that they have no AC. Food in the bar restaurant was simple, not very tasty, but quite overpriced. Would recommend not eating in the hotel at all to be honest. Breakfast was luke warm and the guy serving up the breakfast really struggled to smile, or say good morning (and we wonder why people go abroad...). This property has so much potential, but needs a revamp. I cannot imagine going on a "romantic getaway" as they advertise, it really is catered for families with small children. Lovely grounds, very safe for kids.

Unable to use pool from Tues to Friday, all booking slots were gone from time of check in, offered cancellation at 12.45 on Thursday for 1.30pm slot, we were out of the hotel at these times so unable to avail, disappointing.

Trip was very different because of covid regulations but the hotel was excellent, dispensers were everywhere, loads of areas to social distance, staff were excellent and friendly. No Complaints. 💕

The hotel was spotless and very well prepared for COVID 19. Staffs were uNbelievably friendly and helpful. Great place for family or couple holiday. Location is great for touring Mayo

It was pretty ok. Looks fabulous from outside but just ok from inside. Due to covid, thr check in was almost one and half hour late. Breakfast was very limited and quality of food was not great for a 4 star. Beans were tasteless and so as the fruits that weren't even fresh but canned. Limited choice of everything else but they charged full for breakfast so not very impressed. Rooms were clean but very basic and almost no interior. You could easily hear the alarm going off in thr next door room. Very noisy at times. Overall its 100% from outside but only 50% from inside. Overall good though.

Staff very pleasant and approachable. It was very reassuring to see the care taken over virus control. Food was good but menu a bit ordinary. Style of bar area not to our liking, hard surfaces, floors and seats, felt noisy and not comfortable

It's a kid-friendly place, good family room size, it is a quite location.

Only here for one night post lockdown, good food and well organised.

Wonderful staff work in this hotel especially Meraid who works in Healy Macs. Really glad we made a return visit. Beautiful Spa with friendly therapists who offer great treatments. Only wish we could stay longer.
