Hotel de la Soledad is absolutely stunning—an unforgettable place that made my stay truly special. I’m so glad I chose it! The beauty of the hotel had me constantly reaching for my camera; every corner was picture-worthy. I indulged in both room service and meals at the restaurant, and everything was top-notch. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always greeted me with a smile. I felt genuinely cared for throughout my visit. I can’t wait to return!

Amazing service and location!

Don’t miss an opportunity to stay in this well designed, well functioning hotel in Morelia. It is a converted convent and the rooms are individually designed with original artwork, lovely furniture, excellent lighting, cable TV (including CNN and BBC). Service is excellent. I had room 210 which was a nice room for a single. The bathroom was a bit small, which is a shame. I did enjoy the rain-shower, though. Friends had room 218, a beautiful double room with large bathroom and ample closets. Both rooms had sitting areas just outside the room, facing the courtyard. The hotel is built around two patios . The rooms around the second patio are more modern, while those in the first patio are more atmospheric. So it might be worth looking at different rooms before selecting one. A few minor issues: Wi fi is unstable at peak times. The tap handles in the bathroom are not well designed and difficult to turn if you have arthritic hands . They look great, but could be better designed.

Spectacular courtyard setting as two couples arrived at 1pm after a 5 hour journey. We were abruptly told that our rooms were not ready with check in time at 3pm. That has happened to us as we travel lots. We were offered a small cocktail as we waited patiently for news of an opening before that time. We were offered an early check in for p$400 per room. I chose this hotel as it was the most expensive hotel as it was a special celebration. Not one other guest checked in as we waited for an hour then we requested feedback. Nothing. We waited until exactly 3pm until we asked again. They did not even call us one minute early. They should re-visit their policy as their kind cocktail offer encouraged us to stay within the hotel lobby when we could have made the most of our day by exploring Morelia for 2 hours. This made us feel unwelcome and as a result we avoided further spending in the hotel during our 2 day stay there.

I’m very pleased with my stay here. I felt safe the entire time with the 24 hr security. It was quiet and ambience was very beautiful. The only thing I would complain about is my shower water never got hot. Only the faucet water did. Other than that, great stay and would come again.
