Cavendish Hotel

beautiful location, lovely hotel Room was nice and clean staff all lovely Got my drinks order mixed up twice and breakfast was as strange, we usually stay at large modern hotels where breakfast is buffet so to sit down and be waited on was different ! Plus didn’t really understand the breakfast menu ! Didn’t put me off though I’d definitely go back !

I really enjoyed my 2-night stay at Cavendish Hotel. Staff was wonderful, room was wonderful, food was awesome. The only thing that I have to complain about was the internet connection that was very very very poor. When I left, I forgot a bag with presents and a leather jacket and I asked them if they could mail it to me in US. They were very helpful with that. I'm waiting for my package now🙂. The hotel is closed to Chatsworth House, and the walk to the house is amazing. Overall, a great stay and will return if I ever am around in the area. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a peaceful and wonderful stay!

The hotel was in a perfect location with wonderful views. Wonderful food.

If you want to experience a traditional English country hotel with excellent customer service and surrounded by lovely local people and peaceful environment book this one. The first time reception took me all the way to the door of the hotel and explain the curtain and bedding are marching patterns. Whoever is managing this hotel has attention to details. The lotion is very good especially made to impress! I recommend everyone to stay here.

The lunchwas very poor . We both ordered a sandwich lunch with white bread , but the bread was quite stale and not of a very good standard.However the fish and chips supper was good. The room was very nice with good facilities The cost of evening meals was rather excessive The table cloths when we had breakfast were not ironed, which is not what I expect from such a hotel The restaurant manager was exceptional with a very personal manner and great customer service approach, which made us enjoy our stay The hotel was within walking distance of chatsworth house, which was very pleasant.

Loved this property! Full of character & charm. Staff were exceptionally friendly & accomodating. Room was gorgeous with all amenities to a high standard. View from window across lush green fields was exquisite. Lovely formal & casual dining areas. Breakfast was very good, service attentive. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The hotel was in a great location for visiting Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Very relaxing hotel environment. Wonderful views of the countryside. Two dining options were both superb at the hotel. Decor in bedroom and public rooms was traditional with a modern touch. Warm welcome on arrival at reception. Superb staff service. A Room safe and slippers would have been useful in the room we stayed in, as these are usually standard facilities in hotels of the same high standard.
