Seaview Resort Xiamen

one of the best hotels i been on in China, clean rooms. big rooms, very good breakfast with many things for western taste, some fun for kids especially the swimming pools, lovely clean and friendly place, nice location. a place i be coming back to some time in the future. we ordered a pizza in the room service at 22.30 its was fantastic felt like real italian and taste that way to. ( not what you expect in China )

Many human error, many staff no English or very poor English, many staff using mobile phone at work so publically. You can see cost cutting everywhere and they don't even clean the trashes inside of outside swimming pool. However, William from Guest Relation Department is doing superb job. Whatever the assistance you need, please look for him and he is very happy to assist you. His service is surely first class!! Hotel attempted to have service recovery at the end sending amenities by Director of F&B but they seriously need to train staff and need to reconsider about the cost cutting. This hotel would be good for Chinese people, but for internationally speaking, totally 4 star level with something like... 3 star quality... but the room itself is good and view is outstanding. I hope this hotel will be improved in the future as the hard part is good, soft part has problems.

Arrived at check in to be told they had no reservation for us. we are business travellers so are equipped for these situations they eventually found the booking if it was a family or elderly travellers it would have been very distressing for them. Cosmetically pleasing but not for Europeans .

The resort was lovely for a vacation, but not for business (unless you were there for a conference). Internet was horrible and there was a language barrier which also made it difficult. At check in, I was promised a NON-Smoking room, however when I got to my room is was a smoking room. When I complained they told me the only non-smoking rooms available was an upgrade that was an additional 160.00 USD per night. Glad I was traveling with my colleague who is Chinese.

William the doorman was awesome. Clean hotel. Good atmosphere, restaurants was nice too.

Stayed there for 7 nights on a business trip. Top tip ask for a room on the fifth floor then you get high tea in the afternoon and breakfast in the sky view lounge on the 6th floor. This is much nicer than the one on the ground floor.

The seaview resort offers a superb breakfast equivalent to a large dinner which for business people would be more appropriate if they charged a small amount for a working breakfast and offered the large meal free either at breakfast or lunchtime or evening giving the business person more flexibility.

Very nice, very new resort. Has a feel of a southern calif. resort very near the beach. It is a little bit away from downtown, but it is easy to get around in Xiamen. I will definitely go there again. I hear that when gov't officials stay there, they cancel all other reservations - sometimes with little notice. We did not have this problem, but several told us about this.
