Galatia Villas

We have stayed in this hotel previously and love coming back here. There are various room types scattered between two buildings. The room we stayed in this trip was in the second building away from the reception and right beside the small hot tub/swimming pool. The room was meticulously clean and large for what you would expect. It was more then enough room for us, and the hotel is clearly well maintained. The swimming pool and hot tub areas are great areas to wind down after a long day. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. It is a short 5-10 minute walk to the center of the town, so convenient but away from the noise of the crowds. I have stayed in other much more expensive hotels in Santorini which were a huge disappointment compared to Galatia Villas. Given the choice I will not stay anywhere else in my visits to Santorini and have recommended this hotel to anyone I know going to Santorini. Book well in advance as rooms fill up fast.

We were only here for one night so we didn't get to look around the property. Our room was clean and had a nice bathroom. Our check in was very quick. We would have liked to stay longer. The hotel is a little hike up hill to the main area of Fira. It is about 5-10 minutes. I would recommend this hotel.

If you plan to arrive by bus/coach coming from the ferry terminal there is a bit of a walk. There is no view of the caldera however there is a pleasant view of the East part of the island. I recommend the ATV rental close by. The town of Thira is great for people who like to walk. The things to do on Santorini are too numerous to list.

The staff at Galatia Villas were extremely accommodating! We arrived in Santorini late at night and were afraid check-in would be a problem. Instead, they sent a personal driver to pick us up from the airport (upon request) and had a staff member present at 10:45pm to check us in. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Excellent stay. Our room had a private balcony for us to enjoy food and wine on. The hotel is on a quiet street just outside the main town, a short walk away, and right next to the very interesting Folklore Museum.

Great stay and hotel! Beautiful area, good value for money. Would recommend.

Great location & room was clean. Nearby church bells going off at all hours disturbed sleep. Disappointed that the spa tub is cold (not heated & outdoors). Would definitely recommend however for value for money accommodation in a convenient location.

This hotel was very uncomfortable and slightly ruined our stay as the beds were HORRIBLE and we did not sleep. We were told not to flush toilet paper but rather to throw used toilet paper in the trash. The furnishings were old and scary looing. I wish we had stayed elsewhere as we won't have as fond memories of Santorini I due to this stay.

Friendly staff The room was cleaned every day and the bed sheets and towles were changed every day It was a very nice place to stay.
