Ramada by Wyndham Sibiu

Since I was being picked up and driven every day by a tour guide, I booked this hotel which is a little off the historic center (but within walking distance). It is clean and comfortable and big. The room was large with a pretty view out of the picture windows. The room furniture and carpet is a little old and could do with an upgrade. The restaurant seemed empty all the time, but I got room service twice and the food was pretty good. The bar had a band one night and could not be used due to ear splitting music. The breakfast was very good. The room refrigerator had no outer door, just the glass one so I put a blanket over it to shut out the bright light from it at night. My stay was okay but if I return I will stay in the old town in a smaller more intimate place.

Seit meinem letzten Besuch im Jahr 2019 ist die Abnutzung und Ausstattung der Zimmer gravierend schlechter geworden. Kaputte Schränke, teilweise herunterhängende Vorhänge, komplett abgenutzte Matratzen, Minibar nicht gefüllt bzw. gar nicht eingeschaltet.

Great place! Really Comfortable beds! Expansive breakfast with lots of choices!

Pro: - close to downtown - very friendly service staffs - good choice at breakfast buffet - good location as conference place Con: - needs to be refurbished in guest room - not very clean - the windows are not good even noisy from outside during the night

Checked in yesterday. First impressions were fine, quick check-in, parking inside (but for a price: 10 €/day!). Room looked nice, free WiFi, complimentary bottle of water, coffee machine + 1 capsule of coffee, bed looked clean and nice. Upon checking the amenities a bit closer, defects started to emerge... small piece of hard soap and very small bottle of shower gel. A missing light bulb. OK, I can live with that. Missing holder for the toilet paper. Drain in the bathroom sink clogged. Very dirty stains in the shower. Wobbling sprinkler in the shower. Only one elevator was functioning. The worst: 25 °C in the room, and the temperature couldn't be reduced. AC not working. Noisy outside due to traffic and ventilation. It was impossible to sleep with an open window, and did not help reducing the temp inside either. WiFi stopped working in the evening (Wifi available, but no internet access), and still wasn't working in the morning. Breakfast was fine, but also nothing special. Instead of staying for 3 nights, I've checked out today. No questions asked by the manager. Just handed me the invoice.

I love Sibiu and was so glad to get a last minute deal in the Ramada - we booked two rooms at short notice and I have nothing bad to say about our stay. Comfortable, warm rooms with an amazing view of the city - thanks for a great stay, guys

Hello! The hotel really nice , rooms ok , warm , reception personnel really nice , view 5 stars on upper levels but breakfast very very poor , you find almost nothing and you have to ask if they bring more bread because is empty and then you have to ask if they can bring more vegetables because is empty , fruits almost nothing to choose ( only few apples) . Cereals smells like they keep there forever . Almost the worst brrakfast from last year . Nuce trip everyone arround the world 😁

Old bed sheets, the mattress smells like sweat, bathroom needs more attention. Breakfast is good.

Room is comfortable, big, nice view from upper floors. in October heating was not functioning and in the night it was a little cold. Breakfast is average, good food but not very large selection of food. Close to city center.

Terrible Service. If you want to eat then it's got to be on the app. Which does not work. So told no food. Our air conditioning stuck on 24 degrees. Try to get fixed but told can't have it until winter. Ask for fan told we can't have one. Staff very rude. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Other guests have said the same. DON'T STAY HERE.
