"Good location, food and lodging"

10.0

We chose Albergo Angiolino because we wanted to be in southern Tuscany. Chianciano Terme has a lot of hotels to choose from. We opted for an affordable one near the center of town and the thermal baths so that we could walk to restaurants and shops. The hotel is located on the edge of a steep hill with a view of the valley behind it. Next time I would request a room with a view. The breakfast is plentiful and relaxed with plenty of time to sit and plan your day. You do need a car if you want to explore nearby destinations like Montepulciano and Monte Amiata. The town itself seems to be going through hard economic times, but that didn't make our stay any less pleasing. In fact, it was peaceful not having to deal with crowds like one finds in Rome or Florence. The hotel also offers dinner starting at 8 pm.

"Hotel per tutti, essenziale ma confortevole."

8.0

"Som at bo på plejehjem!"

6.0

"Ridiculous value - strange town"

8.0

Stayed here because of the reviews and the price I paid, I had an appointment near Chiusi in the morning. Clean room, nice pleasant staff. AC was a little rough, ended up opening the windows, would have preferred not to because you could smell the major fire that was burning not too far way and my clothes ended up smelling of smoke for my appointment. Stayed in mid July 2012. I did not know much about Chianciano Terme before my visit, but I would not recommend going back to the town in July. Perhaps it is more lively in August when more Italians are on vacation. Seemed like a town/city? that had seen much better days and was slowly coasting into some sort of long decay. LOTS of empty store fronts. With all of that said, the Albergo suited my purposes perfectly as it was just a place to lay my head for the night. At 38 euros a night it was great.

"What a great family hotel!"

10.0

Excellent value for money, great size room, good bathroom, excellent food, made to feel like you are part of the family, everyone so friendly, even though we cannot speak Italian and family could not speak English, communication was never a barrier, really enjoyed our stay and the atmosphere was fanstatic, it is the Italian experience we were looking for, thank you to the management and staff for making our stay a memorable one!

"A nice base to explorer tuscany from"

10.0

A surprising good hotel. Felt very comfortable. Very polite staff (only a few speak english), nice big room, good breakfast, free parking. The town also is a nice spot to explorer Tuscany from. However, it might be crowded with elderly people. Only bad thing was that the airconditioning was turned off at night and in the morning (done by the hotel to save on energy).
