Hampton Inn & Suites Lino Lakes

How negatively they handled a loss of power for over 16 hours.

We were very disappointed in our stay!! The first red flag was pulling into our parking spot and finding beer/soda cans in a big pile by a tree. The lawn chairs and grill with more garbage in another area was also a concern. The staff member checking us in was very nice and made it a very quick process. When we got to our room it unfortunately had mold in the shower which really bothered us. Due to terrible weather in the area, the electricity went out and stayed out all night. This was very good since it was a very warm night and the air conditioning of course didn’t work. Again not their fault but try to make the situation better??? Maybe instead of barking at everyone that there isn’t breakfast because of the power outage (rude tone…I am sure she had heard complaints all morning), maybe be proactive and see where you could order some doughnuts or muffins?? Maybe hand out some water?? Also when the elevator goes out, you should check on your guests. We had two older couples on the fourth floor. When we were making our way down the stairs my kids ran back up to help with their bags because it was quite a walk!! Now it was no problem for them to help out, but maybe the hotel could have had a service to help other older people?? Those steps were tough!! Overall it was just so disappointing because we love Hampton Inns!

I am an honors member and always stay at Hilton chains. This one should not be included in the portfolio. The service was terrible. The person who checked me in acted like he was under the influence of drugs. The soap and shampoo in the shower were empty. The breakfast was not up to typical standards.

It was clean and comfortable.

We read many reviews about how clean and quiet the hotel was- it was exactly as the reviews described. Even though it was just short of full capacity we never heard any of our neighbors, their televisions or showers etc. It was very easy to fall asleep and stay asleep on the comfortable beds and in the quiet room. Had a nice indoor pool area also. All areas were very clean and staff was helpful and friendly.

Sorry but had to use because either you or booking. Com had wrong date so I ended up paying for 2 so not a happy camper

This was the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at. For $243 (plus tax) I got a "whirlpool suite" which consisted of a rock-hard bed, children sized pillows, no chairs, an old frayed uncomfortable couch, beat up furniture, leaky whirlpool faucet that sprayed water all over and two paper drinking cups to have a glass of wine with my wife on our anniversary. The most disgusting thing was the breakfast, which included watered down liquid that was labeled as "orange juice", cold over-cooked oatmeal and fruit basket that contained a total of one completely rotten half banana and 2 old soft apples. I am not a fussy person and do not give bad reviews without good cause. The only reason I didn't rate it one star was the room was quiet, and the front desk clerk was nice enough to give us a one-hour late checkout.

Room did not get cleaned after first night, staying 3 nights. Cleaners missed details like kleenex, cups for bathroom. Staff were nice.
