Hampton Inn Calera

Danny who was at the front desk (i think he might of been a manager ) was the best !! He went above and beyond to take care of our needs and always had a smile .

For some reason, this location rotated the bed in the King rooms making the TV unwatchable from any location except standing in the entrance hall where there is only room for one viewer. With the bed rotated the HVAC is blowing directly into the faces of the sleepers. Whomever approved this asinine design needs taring, feathering and permanently banned from the hospitability business. I went to the front desk 4 times (because there wasn't room for the phone on the undersized table, required because of the bed rotation, where my C-PAP had to sit). I never found anyone at the front desk even with extremely loudly saying hello each timne. The last I went out the front door where a lady dressed like a house cleaner with badge was smoking in a non-smoking zone and blew smoke in my face when I mentioned it to her. Avoid this disaster. The worse I've spent the night at in my 30 years as a Hilton Honor member.

Room was comfortable and quiet

Pool access was odd, and the pool could have been cleaner. There was construction next door, so that is probably part of the problem

Location and facilities were clean. Good breakfast
