The Sunset Beach Resort & Spa Taling Ngam

We stayed at sunset beach resort from 3rd to 10th June. There was essential maintenance taking place whilst we were there, the lobby roof was being replaced. The room we had booked was adjacent to where the work was taking place so we were upgraded to a garden villa. The room was very nice complete with a small courtyard/ garden, which included a small relaxation pool and a Sala. At the back of the room was the outdoor bathroom containing a shower, jacuzzi bath and two wash hand basins. The whole resort is very clean well decorated and very comfortable. The outside area is also very nice with a good sized pool with a bar attached, from here the beach about a 25 meter walk away. The beach is clean outside the resort and the adjacent Intercontinental Hotel, however, immediately from the boundaries of the two hotels the beach is a mess, full of flotsam, jetsom, and litter. The resort is situated in a very quiet part of the Island, there are only a couple of restaurants in walking distance, some restaurants will pick guests from the hotel and return them after their meal. The staff at the resort were really nice, nothing was too much trouble for them, they endured that our stay was really enjoyed. All in all a very nice resort, and a great place to unwind and relax. The sunsets are spectacular!

We stayed for 5 nights in the beach front villa .. Cudnt have asked for a better location or view. The resort is small// staff is extremely courteous and helpful-- wonderful shacks nearby like I-talay , beach massages . Joy and Chloe from the staff -ever smiling // helpful and chatty.

We have stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderfull time! The staff is so friendly. The beach is very nice and quite, we loved that, much better than Chaweng Beach! And Sunset Beach resort is situated on the best side of the island were you can see a beautifull sunset. This resort is located next to the InterContinental were you enjoy an even better sunset in the Skybar. Rooms are tidy and so nice as well is the resort. A short stair walk takes you to the gym were you can also enjoy a great view. We would recommend this resort and will definately go back as well.

Best holiday ever. Totally relaxing. Staff and local people cannot do enough for you.

Just got back from a very relaxing stay at The Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, Taling Ngam. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly and provided great service. The location is very far away from airport, city etc so you feel like you're in a very secluded private beach which is nice but nothing else around unless you got a car or get a taxi which is very expensive in Koh Samui. As an active traveler who like to explore and explore the town I found it very difficult to be stuck and so far away from everything and not much activity offered around the hotel or by the hotel. I had few problem in my room but they attended to it very fast e.g. Majority of TV channels that they said they have didn't work and their engineer came and tried hard to fix it but he was not able to get any of the channels and keep saying how sorry he was. Then had problem with water leakage from the tap when I tried to have a bath. The water was shooting up like a fountain so I called the reception and they came immediately and fix the problem so I didn't touch the tap after that:) Then it was the problem with the safe as once you locked it you could not open.

Excellent small hotel on the beach with brilliant 30 metres outdoor pool. Helpful staff, great breakfast, free kayak and bycilces.

We were on a honeymoon and this was our first hotel, perfect choice!! It's on the quiet side of the island so you have peaceful and you fell like on a privet island. The staff is very nice and welcoming and very helpful, anything you need they have and will do or theire best to help you!! The food is very good and there is a good selection. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, better then the pictures The pool and the beach are awesome, and no matter where u are someone will make sure you have a drink/food/anything you can think of, you can have a candle light dinner next to the pool or on the beach no additional charge. If you are looking for a romantic spot or just a nice getaway, this is the perfect place !!!!

We had a great one week stay here. Its right by the beach, comfortable rooms, great food and very friendly staff. The spa and massages and treatments were all tried out and all excellent. The hotel is clean, rooms spacious and the gardens all really well looked after. Very luxurious with a nice personal feel and much nicer than the big international brand hotel next door.
