"Quality vacation"

10.0

Love the exclusivity of this hotel. Being set apart from the happening Chaweng & Lamai, i think the only disadvantage is the transportation from and to this hotel. However, i dont see it as a major problem because everything else are just great! The sunset view, the dinner on the beach, the spa, the facilities, and the friendly and helpful Resort manager Ms. Aom added points to the overall rating. There's a caucasion guy who is the top management staff of this hotel also very good in his customer service. He came to get our feedback on the dinner and we told him the dishes werent spicy enough, a moment later he order the kitchen staff to bring us 2 bolws of chillies sauce! Truely impressed by the way they care about their customers. And u must try the spa/theraphy. It's expensive if u compare to the services u can get from Chaweng but u will want to be back to this hotel just because of the spa treatment.

"Nice hideaway resort"

10.0

We went there for a week & didn't want to leave, the staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the garden villa which spacious, modern. The villa was air conditioned and well equipped with little extras like fresh fruit and minibar, great bathroom, and a great private day bed and jacuzzi outside the room.

"A boutique feeling resort - well worth it!"

10.0

We loved our stay at the Sunset Beach Resort and Spa! The stay was incredibly friendly and the resort offers an nice variety of amenities on site to help make your stay exciting. We took a long tail boat trip. The prices we fair and well worth it. It is a quiet feeling hotel on the sleepier side of the island but it was a highlight of our trip!

"Good but not great"

6.0

This is a small property with just a handful of rooms, one restaurant, a pool, a gym and pretty much nothing else, which is located on the secluded Taling Ngam beach. The hotel van picked us up (for a 1,200 baht fee) at Samui airport - a bit creaky, but serviceable vehicle - and we arrived, about an hour's drive later, for a relatively painless check-in. "Sunset Jacuzzi" rooms are very spacious, overlooking the ocean, with a large bathroom area, with a shower and a Jacuzzi. The mattresses have seen some use, the furniture is quite dated and sparse. There are split air-conditioners in the rooms, and the one in number 11 didn't work very well. They tried to fix it a couple of times but, in the end, we had to make do with a floor-standing fan that they gave us from their office.  The pool looks much bigger in the photos than it is, but it is adequate. They keep it clean and there are plenty of loungers. Some of the tiles have come off, though, which shows the age of the property. Not bad enough to impact the pool's utility in any way - you can still safely enjoy a swim - but it looks horrible. The pool bar has a "happy hour" from 5:00pm to 6:30pm every evening, when drinks are all half-price! The best thing about this resort is its staff. They are all extremely friendly, eager to help and, by and large, very competent. From the front office to the restaurants, from the pool to the spa, we found the Sunset team did everything that they could to make our stay comfortable.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay there. The staff are very friendly and humble. They attend to our needs immediately. The food was good. Breakfast was wonderful. However, the air conditioning in our room was not working properly. Even that fixed by the hotel technician immediately and we were also provided with a standing fan. Its a great romantic getaway. No doubt we will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

"Inconvenient location"

8.0

Great Resort. Very clean. The only issue is that it is located far away from the popular area such as the Lamai and the Chaweng beach and the taxi cost a fair bit to travel to-and-fro. There's not much restaurants located nearby within walking distance. Not much activities to do unless you book the tours from the hotel.

"Paradise on Koh Samui!"

10.0

This hotel is away from the major towns on Koh Samui, which makes it feel much more private, romantic, and personal. The beach is quiet and the only neighbor is the Intercontinental (a good option if you want to try a different restaurant). They have a sala set up near the water where we had the best massages we got in Thailand while listening to the waves and they were running a happy hour on massages for significantly less than the regular prices. They were also running a happy hour on drinks at the pool. If you want to have a romantic or quiet trip, I highly recommend this hotel!

"Great for loved up couples"

8.0

This hotel was quite secluded. There beach was not suitable for swimming. The pool was not suitable for small children as it was quite deep. So if you are a couple in a love bubble this place is perfect. They make some great food and drinks and the breaky, if included in your stay is great.

"Sunset Beach Resort and Spa"

10.0

Fantastic place for a holiday. Beautiful landscaped tropical gardens, great service, extremely friendly and welcoming staff, lovely spacious rooms with twice daily servicing. Sunsets amazing from beach outside hotel, and staff even brought cocktails to the beach so we could sit in the sea and watch it. Definitely recommend!
