Fantastic staff, food was delicious and the overall feel of the hotel was tranquil and stunning

Sunset is located on the quiet side of the island. The staff at the place makes you feel like family and will do anything for you. I cannot say enough about the staff, they made my Fiance and my stay absolutely wonderful from the time we arrived until the time we departed.

Stayed a week at The Sunset and it was the most memorable part of our holiday. Service was amazing as well as the food, location and hotel itself. The Sunset rooms have the perfect view! Would definitely stay again!!

Booked this hotel last minute, it surpassed all expectations, it was excellent, room was beautiful with an fabulous view of the sea, staff very attentive and friendly, food very good and reasonably priced for the venue, really enjoyed it wished we could have stayed longer, if in the area would definately go back.

If you want to be away from everything, this is the place. That is why I picked this place. I did the garden suite and glad that I did. I traveled there alone for R&R. I wish I wasn't there alone because the resort was very romantic. I love the bathrooms. When I build my next home in the tropics, I will have a bathroom just like their's.

This hotel is amazing. The views from the bed, the amenities, the service...all top notch. The single drawback to this hotel is the location. It is ideal for anyone seeking an isolated corner of the island with a very private stay. Honeymooners would absolutely love it! It comes with spa services, a private beach, a great pool, and a good restaurant/bar. However, if you are not seeking the ultimate tranquility in your visit, you need to understand that this hotel takes 45 minutes to an hour to drive to from the airport. There are no stores or restaurants available near this hotel. It's nowhere near attractions and there are no public transportation options available. If you are planning on renting a car or other transportation, it will be fine. If you want to be near the action, this is NOT the hotel for you.

The hotel was great and so was the food.Breakfast was fantastic and the presentation of all the meals was first class.We loved the fact it was out of the way and was not a problem to get a motorbike from the hotel for £6 a day so that you can visit the other side of the island.I would fully recommend this hotel if you want peace and quiet and total relaxation.

The hotel is very good, with an outstanding service, but we stared with the wrong food as they oversold the sunset seaview and they sent us to another room (garden villa), what it was supposed to be an upgrade (IT IS NOT AT ALL) without even telling us. After several complains... and waiting for another person check out, they move us to our room. They gave us a wine because of the problem... but really, we wanted our room from the first day. So, be careful to ask for the room you want. The view from the room is amazing!!!!! And also the room is very nice. The breakfast, is the best I ever tried! The con of this hotel is the location. You are able to see the sunset... but you are 45 minutes from Koh Samui center (U$ 30 taxi) and the hotel doesn´t have a shuttle... so if you go to the hotel, plan to stay at the hotel...

We loved Ban Sabai Sunset Resort. The service at this resort was phenomenal. It's located far away from the touristy bars and restaurants, on the southwestern coast of the island, so it's very private. The pathway from the pool leads to a beautiful private beach. There are lounges, umbrellas, and free bottled water for hotel guests. The food is delicious- especially the curry! Also, the included breakfast was phenomenal- fresh juices, eggs benedict, mmmm. The staff was helpful with helping us find activities to do. We did a great day trip to the Marine Park to snorkel and go kayaking. It rained most days we were there, but the resort has a free sauna/steam room and dvd players in the rooms with folders of dvds you can check out at the reception. One day, it rained so hard we just had a movie marathon and ordered room service. It was very relaxing. Our room was cleaned twice a day. There are also free bicycles to rent! We loved it and hope to come back :)
