Spark by Hilton Panama City Beach

We were accommodated for six rooms during the busiest time of the year and graciously given all our on the same floor. Which doesn’t normally happen I was extremely pleased with this hotel with their staff and with the location this is my new spot when I come to Panama City beach

The stay is great! Very clean with awesome prices! Staff is friendly and very helpful! I loved the pool and workout area. They serve you breakfast early in the morning and it is awesome! Definitely booking again soon 😊

We were in town visiting friends and this was close by. The hotel is very nice and clean. What they’re lacking in is breakfast options. No fruit, pastries, yogurt etc. Just eggs and sausage. We’ve had more to eat at budget hotels. And no we do not expect a large meal, just a few choices. The free cookies when checking in are self-serve, where kids are running by helping themselves and no longer fresh baked. Our biggest complaint is the 7 am text telling us how to check-out in the morning. Really? Awake, no but we were then!

WARNING: This hotel requires and will photocopy your drivers license. They do not disclose this in their policies when booking your room nor do they inform you of this when checking in. I do not object to showing my identification when checking in but having been a victim of identity theft in the past I do not hand over my drivers license to a hotel without letting it get out of my sight. When the front desk attendant attempted to make a photocopy of my drivers license without my approval, I objected. I was then informed that it was mandatory to make a photocopy in order to stay there and she would have to get approval, from her manager, in order not to. She called her manager and was told it was indeed mandatory. She could not inform me of their security measures of the photocopy or how long it would be on file. I have been a Choice Privileges member over thirty years, have stayed at their fine hotels hundreds of nights and have never been refused a stay due to this type of policy. I called Choice hotels customer service and to their benefit, they tried to convince the Country Inn hotel, who is under their chain, to let me stay without a photocopy to no avail. Choice hotels, also to their benefit, was able to give me a refund as the first night was non-cancellable by that time, having booked weeks in advance on my credit card. Lucky for me, I was able to book a four night stay at the Holiday Inn Resort down the street which at the time had vacancies and did not have the same policy of photocopying my drivers license. Beware.

My husband and I recently just stayed here July 25 of 2023 for a few days. When we booked we had issues with our site and it wouldn’t let us upgrade. We got stuck with an assessable room that we did not need. When we got to our room the day off, we ended up in a king suite which we were super grateful of. Our room was clean. The air worked good and the bed was very comfortable. We were pretty close to the beach within minutes of drive time and walking distance to Walmart (you could walk to the beach too if you wanted). The pool was nice and we really liked the fact it was shaded. All the staff seemed nice and friendly when approached although we weren’t ever actually greeted any of the times we were in and out. We only were able to get up for breakfast in time once and it was okay. Could have used more variety of things. All in all we had a wonderful experience. The only complaint we have, is that on the day we were checking out, the tall blonde housekeeper walked in our room without knocking or announcing herself at 9:53am with check out not until 12. My husband was on the toilet with the door open and I was basically naked standin there. She did apologize and quickly leave but that was a big no no. They need to always be respectful and give privacy. Knock first and if you have to come in announce yourself. That could be a dangerous situation in the future.

Booked 3 rooms for a Friday night before checking into condo on Saturday. Arrived about an hour before check-in and was told by the front desk rooms would be ready in about an hour. Went to grab a bite came back in a little over an hour checked right in. All rooms were perfect, staff very friendly. The only thing that was a little off was the breakfast and pool. The pool is really small for this size hotel. Another thing was no lights in the pool area when we were there. Might have just been an issue of flipping a switch. Breakfast area was crowded and loud and the food was just cereal, make your own waffles and gravy and biscuits. We were in the dining area about 30 minutes after opening and guests had made a pretty good mess of things. Elected to grab breakfast elsewhere. The breakfast and pool were not a stay killer and would stay again.

My trip was extremely relaxing and fun. There was so much to do and our location was the best. My overall experience was so delightful the my grandson wanted to stay longer, but time was so precious with family. We had a bawl.

The staff was amazing and the room is comfortable. It seems like the area had declined some since five years ago and I’m sure it was due to Covid. You have to give a deposit of 100. I didn’t expect that after paying in full.

The staff were professional and polite. Fast service. Clean and safe property. Beds and room were comfortable. The pool was clean and safe for both of my children to swim in. We enjoyed our stay there. Thank you.

Wonderful staff excellent room clean parking lot well lit complimentary breakfast very good fresh fruits every morning very nice pool fresh towels immediately I really love our stay will recommend highly
