Hilton Garden Inn Elkhart

Air conditioning did not work, and because I booked through hotels.com they couldn’t refund or comp me anything. The actual AC equipment for hotel was outside our window and was very noisy. I paid extra for breakfast, the buffet was mostly empty and what was there was overcooked. They were to have some fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage and then typical bagels/bread and cereal - which they did still have. The room was very spacious and clean. We happened to be in the accessible room - however it was difficult to open and close entrance and bathroom doors.

Not good, pretty bad experience about the bathtub, no cool water. Vanity sink clogged, telephone in the room not working,

Really nice renovated rooms(I believe still in progress). Our king junior suite was HUGE and nicely appointed! Our server for breakfast (Jonelle I believe) was so kind and friendly. We will stay again (room 316). Perfect! Nice and close to the freeway and shipshewana.

We’ve stayed at many Hilton Garden Inns and this one is the worst one we’ve been to. The rooms are dark, carpet is damp and both the interior and exterior are tired. We slept fine and it was safe but we prefer places that are a bit nicer. Could use an upgrade and next time we are in the area we will stay elsewhere.

Great spot right off the toll road next to many great dining options. Definitely go to Chubby Trout!

The main gal serving breakfast needs some training very slow to bring each item, from silverware to water to bringing the bill. And there was zero to perhaps one other table occupied for breakfast. Ate breakfast five days in a row and it was painfully slow. She needs some training and supervision. The cook made a perfect omelet every morning!!
