Our stay at Salt Lick truly lived up to its promise of "uncompromising high standards of service, efficiency and personalized attention." We experienced exactly that from the moment we arrived until we checked out. A special thank you to the wonderful team who made our stay memorable. Naomi at reception welcomed us warmly and ensured everything was seamless. Our driver, Philemon, was professional, knowledgeable and made every game drive enjoyable and the effort to ensure we saw the Chettah family . Service attendants Elsie (my namesake!) and Winnie were exceptional attentive, friendly and genuinely made us feel at home away from home 🩷 Their hospitality, kindness and attention to detail made all the difference. Thank you for making our stay so special. We look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend Salt Lick to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience.

The experience was superb!! Great staff,Naomi, Cornelius were kind and so helpful. The nurse really assisted me too…. Winnie, Elsie, Philemon guys you added grace and joy to our stay. Chef Collins, Samson…food was amazing and the room clean and cozy. I will surely visit again!

It’s an immersive, authentic "dive" into the wild. There is something profoundly special about waking up and watching the waterholes directly from your room; those waterfront views are unbeatable for a slow, intentional morning. Huge appreciation to Samson and Robert at the bar they mastered the art of low-key, high-quality hospitality, making our quiet evenings feel incredibly special. ​Taita Hills: Where the Party Lives We popped over to Taita Hills for a lunch visit, and the shift in atmosphere was fantastic. It’s a high-energy, fun-filled space with a great plus from the game room and spa to that stunning infinity pool. A massive shout-out to Catherine at the pool bar! Her cocktails are not only delicious but impressively "lethal" (in the best way possible). She is a master of multitasking and a natural conversationalist; even with a crowd by the poolside, her service standards never dipped. She’s a major asset to the team. ​A Professional Note of Appreciation As someone in the hospitality industry myself, I truly value seeing a well-oiled machine. To the HR team, Judy and Eric you clearly have a phenomenal team on your hands. The culture and service excellence across both properties are evident. ​Thank you to the entire staff for making our birthday celebration so seamless and memorable. We’re already planning our return to Taita Hills we’ve got more adventures to tackle and more of Catherine’s cocktails to conquer!

Fantastic location. Saw so many animals at the watering hole and whilst on safari saw two beautiful lionesses with their 6 cubs , alongside zebras, elephants, water buffalo, giraffes, antelopes and many beautiful birds. Our driver Samuel was very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we saw as many animals as possible.

We have just returned from the most amazing trip to Salt lick safari lodge. From start to finish everything was fantastic. The reception was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and had an excellent view of the watering holes. The food was very good. And the safaris with our guide NICODEMUS were amazing. He was friendly, funny and very knowledgable. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The location well what can I say apart from WOW. We had the best time ever Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to ensure we had the most amazing time.

We love Africa, we love people. Very kindness and relax in our fast stay.

Unique accommodations with the rooms built up so you get spectacular views of the waterhole (tip:request a room overlooking the watering hole). Another great feature is the underground tunnel that takes you to a ground level viewing of the watering hole allowing you to get really close up views of the animals. Staff was very professional, friendly and accommodating. Elsie and Joash in the restaurant looked after us so well. Guests at Salt lick also have privileges at its sister lodge “Taita Hills” which has a beautiful swimming pool and more of a resort feel. We enjoyed lunch and the afternoon there which was a nice excursion as game drives tend to be early morning and late afternoon. All meals were buffet style and food was plentiful but prepared dishes were just ok and lukewarm at best. Go for freshly made omelettes to order for breakfast and the pasta station for dinner.

Loved every big of our stay here. Enjoyed the delicious meals. The view is out of the world experience. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Omar our waiter was extremely nice and very professional.
