Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Great ambience and a good variety of fresh, tasty food. Some of the memorable dishes were: traditional mukimo, chapati, maru bhajia, fish, roasted lamb leg,chicken wings at breakfast,the puddings and homemade banana ice cream. The game drive was also memorable we sighted a variety of wildlife including lions and the guide, Samuel was knowledgeable and patient. Another amazing experience was watching the wildlife from the restaurants during lunch and tea time. There are some beautiful and friendly birds at the balcony of the 2nd floor bar I also appreciated the opportunity to visit the sister property, Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa, for lunch, a museum visit, and swimming, which added to the overall experience. The service was generally okay, though there is room for improvement. As constructive feedback, I believe the staff could benefit from unconscious bias and customer service training to help ensure all guests receive a consistently warm and welcoming experience. Hopefully, management can consider investing in such development opportunities for their team. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with several memorable highlights.

John the waiter is such a kind soul,, I loved how he made me feel at home though I was km away from home. Nickodemus the tour driver was really nice, friendly and well informed about the safari. Overall, my stay was just amazing. 10/10. Will I visit again? most definitely.

Awesome incredible hospitality incredible experience

Beautiful experience! The hotel is cozy, well structured, in the nature, with breathtaking view! I was also impressed with the staff, all of them , particularly John, who was friendly , hospitable and always smiling! We had breakfast overlooking zebras and girafees and went to bed observing the elephant coming for water! Cant describe it! The food is good, hotel is clean and they provide picnic box for the game tour! i will recommend it to everyone who wants to live this unique adventure! Salt Lick has made memories to us and our children!
