Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort

The pool is nice but very busy.

We had an odd room where we had to share an entry with another room. Both rooms had doors with an inch gap underneath meaning we heard everything that the other family was saying. Then the first evening there was a domestic violence happening in the room that shares our entrance. I ended up having to run and get management. Of course the male said nothing happened. We still had to share the entry and I felt extremely uncomfortable with the possibility that I might encounter this man. Also the building itself is not sound proofed so you hear the people walking above as well. Also it said it had beach access but at high and mid tide there is no access and it is very rocky. Our room was extremely small as well. I do not feel I should have paid as much as we did. Will never go back there.

The location is on the beach. There is not much that is within walking distance for restaurants and shops. It is a short drive to the downtown and to Qualicum Beach and to the market in Coombs. The resort is new so it is clean. The gym doesn’t open until 7:00. Coffee was sometimes ready at 6:00 but it depends on the staff. The washer an dryer in our suite was very convenient. It’s good for families with kids.

Great location, kind staff, comfortable bed snd pillows, air conditioning (although it was really loud), beautiful exterior, fully stocked rooms

Really small rooms, noisy residents who live there long term with no consideration for guests, walls / doors are not sound proof, internet was terrible, tv wouldn’t load YouTube or Netflix, cable didn’t work on the tv either, pretty sure I got ringworm from going in the hot tub once.

Family of 4 had an amazing trip kitchen was all you need and the pool was a massive hit for the kids. Walk to the beach was super easy and at low tide endless fun at the beachnin the tide pools. We will be back

The resort has a beach, but it is rocky not sandy. You have to go about 1km to find the sandy beach but it is not hard to get to or find free parking there. Each unit shares a terrace with another unit so having a bbq outside is not always private.

The huge kitchen. The view and the pool. Great facilities. Great location.

This property was beautiful. Exceeded our expectations.

Finding the room was confusing and challenging. It was not explained that there were 2 separate units behind a single door. Nor was there indication of this. Front desk was not adequately staffed, meaning multiple trips were necessary to get service.

Cons: Check in was over an hour and a half late due to staffing shortages. No restaurant on site. Oven was missing some knobs. Pros: beds were comfortable, pool/hot tub were clean, beach close by, staff were friendly, bbq and patio were a nice touch.
