"Good"

When we arrived, there was a lack of clear guidance, no instructions on how to sort the garbage or any related bins or bags provided. The worst part was the unexpected power outage that ruined our evening celebration and didn’t get restored until midnight. We were also woken up at 5am by the bright sunlight streaming through the sheer curtains. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

"Great Resort Experience"

I believe this resort is rated at a 3 star. I would suggest it was a 4 star. I really liked the place. We travelled as a couple and had a second floor studio unit overlooking the pool and hot tub. We asked for this unit and got exactly what we wanted. The deck was huge and it had a table and a couple of chairs. Nice spot to relax and have a drink. The pool was warm and the hot tub was a nice spot to chat to other travellers. There was a library/reading room off the lobby where you could grab a coffee and read a newspaper. In that we travelled in May I would suggest a bit of an off time for families and suspect because a large portion of the units appeared to be townhouse type units it would cater to families in the summer months.

"Lovely resort"

Nice big space, decent kitchenette with sink and dishes, floor to ceiling blackout curtains for nice dark room to sleep in, interesting room configuration creating a quieter room - no noise from the hallway. Easy walking distance to ocean and nearby restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Ridge Resort! We stayed in 421A on the second floor and we had a very spacious updated room with air conditioning, full kitchen and living room. We enjoyed relaxing fires, walks along the ocean front beach and trails at Rathtrevor Provincial Park. Parksville was such a great hub to explore the island. So many great highlights but Horne Lake Caves was a great day trip...a must try! Special thanks to Mark and Adrian for your assistance and great customer service! We will be back!
