Barceló Maya Palace - All Inclusive

Even though a huge concert was there, we were not impacted at all. The Palace was wonderful with lush landscaping, kind staff and elaborate food choices.

Beautiful well-maintained property; better quality of food than I have experienced at ither all-inclusive resorts. Beautiful beach and pool areas with plenty of lounge chairs. Overall, the resort exceeded expectations!

Best family vacation lots of great food options and lots to do for all ages! We would recommend highly!

Language barrier was difficult. No hot dishes or food items unless you got something right off the grills. Rooms always had a musty mildew smell to them. Bed pillows were terrible. We averaged 5 to 7 miles a day walking from one area to another in the resort was hard for people of our age group. Unable to understand anything the receptionist told us at check in. Poor communication as to what entertainment or restaurants were available at the resorts that where available to us. Over all not a member able happy experience. This was my third stay with the Barcelo in the Rivera Maya area and was sadly disappointed in how the quality has diminished. We will definitely seek out diffrent accommodations for our next travel experience.

Too far from Cancun airport will not go again. Best beach in the riviera area. Room smelled so bad of bleach I couldn’t sleep and had to keep the sliding door open all night. Service was very good all over resort. The distance from the rooms to buffet, beach, lobby was ridiculously long and would not recommend this resort to anyone who’s not prepared to walk 15 mins to get anyplace. They have a bus that comes every 25 minutes so once to breakfast , beach, dinner equals 1.5 hours of waiting per day. Other resorts I’ve visited have golf carts running every few minutes Barcelo should do the same.Pools were very cold and could not stay in for long. Kids would not use the pools.Personally would not go back.

If I would’ve understood how much walking there was we probably would not have come. My husband has limited mobility and we had to get a wheelchair and had to rely on our friends and family to assist

My husband and I have stayed here 4 times with our group of 18 friends over the years and we have always enjoyed our stay! This time we were fortunate enough to go with our daughter, son in law and our two grandsons. It was beautiful to watch the excitement of the kids as they explored and experienced this beautiful resort and all it has to offer. All the à la cart restaurants in the Barceló Palace are top notch and we felt fortunate to experience six à la carts during our ten night stay. Front desk staff, are welcoming and have a good sense of humor. The rooms are comfortable and functional, housekeepers are wonderful and do a great job everyday. The gardeners work extremely hard on the grounds (keeping all the plants ,flowers and grass) beautifully kept. It was funny watching the clean up crew on the beach, the poor manager had to get on them for not doing anything. I have found over the last three years that a lot of guest are not cleaning up after themselves, like plastic cups wrappers even kids sand toys abandoned on the beach and in the water. It’s a beautiful beach with amazing turtles and snorkeling, so I hope guest at this place pick up after themselves. The pool is huge and wonderful fun activities! Pool bar staff are not overly friendly unfortunately.; especially in the morning when you go down at 7 am for a coffee and a beach walk. They just don’t seem too happy to be there. I try to learn some new Spanish phrases to say to them and then they will sometimes engage with me but not always. The buffet restaurants in the palace are fantastic (Always!) with wonderful server’s , chefs and cooks and cleaning crew! This resort won’t disappoint Big shout out to this lovely young man who we were lucky enough to see again this year! Managers take note , he is very special to your team. He is a gentleman, well spoken and engaging. Top notch *****

The servers at La Hacienda and every restaurant we visited were very professional, friendly and amazing people. Gustavo Dzul, Natividad Osorio are among the amazing staff that you will at Barceló Palace. Greatly recommended.

Not good experience with the receptionist but other than that average resort. The transportation system from resort to resort was slow thus we resorted in walking and spent most of our time walking. Other resort have faster modes of transportation.
