Barong Resort Ubud by Puri Signatures

When we first arrived we loved the look of the resort and the room was nice. The toilet wouldn’t stop running for most of the stay which was just more annoying than anything. It poured rain on our second day and the pathway to the rooms was completely flooded. No one warned us so we basically had to walk through a flood and then got stuck in the room until they were able to clear the path. Had they told us it was flooded we wouldn’t have gone back to our rooms. We basically wasted about 3 hours of our day because we couldn’t leave it was almost to our knees. Later when it stopped raining and they were able to release the water, we went out for dinner and when we came back it was raining again and we asked if it was flooded and they said no, and it was. We had breakfast included and it was not good. My poached eggs were cold and covered in vinegar. We both don’t eat meat and nothing said anything about meat on the menu and our food came out with meat all over the plate. The coffee was instant coffee and wasn’t even mixed. It was disgusting. The pool had 4 chairs and no where to lay to get any sun. The staff was very nice and the location was good. Overall it was an okay stay.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was awesome. The room is comfy, spacious, lots of room facilities, amenities and even those island 'first kit' (candles, mosquito repellents, lighters). The people are nice and very helpful. - Breakfast could be improved (taste & selection). The area is in the center of Ubud, so you could just walk down the street for shopping, getting lunch, snacks / coffee plus there's a convenient store across the street and a local bar not far from there. Perfect place to stay.

I was abit hesitant after reading some bad reviews but i wasn't disappointed once i arrived. The pictures featured on hotels.com website should does not do the hotel justice. The room was spacious and clean, they even offered complimentary snacks and fruits in our room. The bathroom was amazing, all 4 of us can squeeze into the bathtub and the kids loved it. Apart from the bed which was creaking and the noises made by the animals (well it's Ubud afterall), everything was perfect. The location was perfect, within walking distant to everything. Will definitely come back here again. Breakfast was served a la carte and they can bring it to your bungalow, but i find dining at their restaurant a better experience. Wifi was weak, but am glad as i didn't want to think about work. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Good location, great staff, confortable bed, pool was a little small.

First room was musty and depressing. Second room toilet backed up twice. Third room was refurbished and acceptable.

Wonderful stay, beautiful hotel! From my early check in, great friendly staff at front desk, all so nice & warm welcome with refreshing drink & kind note left in my room! Loved the details, modern decor, beautifully decorated room, canopy bed, pretty terrace, flowers, and gorgeous bathroom with rain shower & rock details! Enjoyed the daily fruits, snacks, kit with candles, bug cream, flashlight. Even pool and spa were great too enjoyed the pampering! Perfect Ubud location about ten minutes walk to Yoga barn, monkey forest, many great restaurants, even at resort, great pool, loved spa services, quality with low prices, breakfast was so yummy, enjoyed food options, fresh juices, the lovely rooftop area too. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!!!

Our villa was superb. I stayed by myself with my two teen-aged boys (17 and 13) and we loved every part of our experience. The villa was beautifully appointed, private pool perfect and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The grounds and facilities are a delightful paradise. Super quiet and private, yet on the main street. Walking distance to the monkey forest and ample shops. thank you

I booked this hotel last minute and was very satisfied about the location and the room. I was travelling solo for the first time in my life but felt so comfortable in this hotel. The staff were very welcoming. I had 1 big suitcase and a small trolley which they brought to my room for me. I had the Superior Bungalow with a king size bed. The bathroom is very spacious with shower and bath. Every day I received 2 bottles of water and fresh fruit complementary.

The first thing you notice when you walk into the hotel lobby is how quiet it is - you immediately escape from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. I arrived late in the morning, and luckily for me, the room was ready, and I was able to check in. My room was beautiful, clean, and big. I had my own private terrace with a small table and daybed. The room had a large bathroom, with all the amenities one needed. The staff was very attentive to all your needs, and would come in twice a day to clean your room and turn down in the evening. They would leave a nice plate of fruit and a little snack every day.

Room was amazing and spacious. Peaceful even though on a main road. You can walk to the monkey forest and great stores around.
