Villa 3 was nice and had private pool and garden. Location is quite central between monkey Forest and central Ubud (markets). Main pool also not bad and peaceful. Worst thing was the breakfast as was not buffet and hence you had to order from specific menu which narrowed the choices alot and made breakfast not as enjoyable as other places.
Beautiful serene lush environment right in the middle of town. Short walk to everything you want, including Monkey Forest and Palace. Attentive friendly staff and great breakfast. The private pool was wonderful, although a bit strong with the chemicals. Only negative was slow wifi from the room.
Super nice stay in the center of Ubud. Convenient location to walk around. The hotel seems to be a family house long ago, so it was not large, but with cute plant decoration. Room is large and relaxing. Overall I will come back in my next stay at Ubud.
I couldn’t have been happier with Barong Resort and Spa. I booked a suite and it was absolutely amazing - private pool at the back of the property with views of green space, a Balinese daybed for naps outside, huge room and four poster bed. The lobby and main pool were beautiful and the service was very helpful. You won’t be disappointed.
Barong Resort is in middle of Monkey Forest Road, perfect for all shops, restaurants, and Ubud Market stalls and seeing The Monkey Forest. Dont' miss it!! Super accommodating staff, clean beautiful pool and surroundings. Great full breakfast included. Highly recommend,price on par with resort.
LOVE this place. Can't beat it for the price and the staff are so friendly. It is within walking distance of the Monkey Forrest and lots of shops and restaurants. I stayed for 27 days and would book this place in a heartbeat if I return to Ubud!

This was our second stay at Barong Spa in Ubud. We enjoyed it the first time and again this time, for its peacefulness and calm spacious accommodation right in the centre of the busiest part of Ubud. It looks unassuming from the entrance, but stretches back through the breakfast area, steps up to a wonderful reception area, beautifully decorated in Balinese style and then steps down again to the rooms, all of which seem to have individual design and open space, whether a private terrace, private small garden or opening out on to the pool area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and bathrooms large and well equipped.
I stayed at Barong Resort + Spa for a week, the hotel is lovely and the staff show impressive attention to detail. Standout massage from the more senior spa lady. Thank you!
This was my second time at the Barong and it was as lovely as the first 10 years ago. This property is beautiful and secluded despite being right in the heart of Ubud. The rooms are beautifully decorated and private. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the restaurant, despite not being very busy, serves some excellent dishes. The staff is helpful and welcoming.
