Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island

The hotel is fantastic and I'd really recommend for a family visit. We went with our 1 year old and 3 year old and thought the activities on offer were fantastic, and the overall vibe of the hotel friendly. We loved visiting the buffet restaurant and booked 2 nights at the different restaurants and although the food there was good, we did feel the service was a bit slow so a bit challenging with both kids compared to the buffet. They were good though for sure - Thai and Lebanese. The buffet breakfast was great offering so much choice, however the same items are on offer every single day. Whilst this is not a bad thing for some as they can guarantee their favourite, it did feel a bit repetitive after a few days. In some other resorts there's some form of rotation which could be great here. The breakfast was great though I really can't complain. We used the kids club twice where the nanny service required for our 1 year old allowed the nanny to look after both kids together, which is something we really enjoyed. The kids had a great experience on both occasions, so was happy to be able to use the spa facility for one of these sessions. The pool area is fantastic and the real stand out here, the toddler pool was perfect height for both kids, who also loved the water slide. The adult pool was brilliant and the main pool great too. We spent most of our time here and comparing to other hotels (e.g. Sofitel which you can walk to next door) the Radisson wins hands down! Pretty much everyone here had younger kids so we felt very much in our place with our kids running around causing chaos! If you're a younger couple or without kids perhaps this resort is not for you. Area is great too for excursions where we did 2 day tours, both of which were convenient. I would certainly recommend Radisson and return.

There was nothing major to be honest, however my one complaint on the hotel was about the booking being half board yet on check in meaning this was a dinner voucher per adult (kids are free) to the value of $100 covering the meal and a drink. In the restaurants this was fine as the main was usually reasonable, however for the buffet the price is $89, and drinks are usually $20, meaning that for 2 adults you'd need to pay $10 each, i.e. $20 per night. It cheapened the experience a bit where I know it's not much, but I'd have preferred to just tip the staff this rather than pay it in fees which I thought was included. Just something for the hotel to consider, perhaps make it so that the guests have access to $10 drinks so the total is $99 by default?

It was a great location and close to the airport. Rooms were beautiful and spacious.

It was expensive in relation to other resorts, food was limited, furniture outdoors was old and broken.

The adults only pool was great, staff come around frequently in that section to take orders. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Staff were all so friendly and hospitable. There is a desk at the front to book day tours as well as the hydro sports desk at the back of the resort where we booked a jet ski tour.
