Maninarakorn Hotel

Having spent a lovely trip here last year I happily booked again. I bought a superior boutique room, which sounded great. Turns out, and this is receptions words, superior boutique means ‘not as good.’ Of course it does. My stay was not in the main hotel but off to the side which after complaining was told that it is not the same star level as the main hotel. Funny, no mention of that when booking. I have now moved rooms three times. First room had no hot water. Second room had hot water but air con didn’t work and was filthy - see pics. I have complained everyday now, but have NEVER seen a manager in this hotel, just some poor supervisor who cannot leave reception, has no authority to do anything and has to field complaints with no way to fix them. Final straw was this morning... went down to breakfast (which was already 50% worse than last year) to find the egg station has been cancelled due to cut backs. Seriously. So my choice of food for breakfast was fried eggs that had been sitting there for ages, cold ham, tinned sausages, and choice of two fruit, with only the melon edible. I have decided to move out 5 days early, and find a better hotel, which is a total pain as I am on a work trip. The hotel has recently been taken over by a new owner, which is where all these issues arise from. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!

This is a mid-range hotel, a little expensive by Thai standards, but I thought the rates were quite reasonable. The staff was very helpful and the room was large and airy. I found it to be a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Swimming pool beyond dirty. Gym "closed for improvements". Bedroom floor cracked. Even at the "reasonable price", the hotel is tired. We checked in and were shown to a room which had no electricity. The staff do their best in a difficult situation.

The market is close to pretty much whatever you like to do, its a short walk to the night market, the old city and places to eat. We were only one night there ao shame we didnt get to use the pool, but everything is clean, and well maintained. Would recommend for people not looking for a wow experience and on the other hand people who arent looking for a lowcost hotel just for a night

The place is quite near to the night bazaar,which is about 10 minutes walk.The room is big.Breakfast was simple but okay for the price. The hotel was quite old but for the price you cant expect a 5star hotel.Whatever it is,I am satisfied with the hotel

My husband and I got a good deal for 2 nights. But very disappointed. The little things were missed. The breakfast was poor didnt even have the basics as cereal or yogurt. I asked for a wine glass but they said they didn't have the key to the restaurant. I booked it because it had a gym and it was shut for the month, bathroom was smelly. The entrance is very fancy they you go over to the cheap side of the hotel. Would never stay here again. Only good thing is it is quite central to the night life.

My brother and I booked this hotel because according to TripAdvisor, it is supposed to be very close to the Yoga Room. The check-in was smooth and being that we’re foreigners visiting, one of us have to present our passport upon check-in. After checking in, the porters carried our luggages upstairs to our room since there’s no elevator. We were located on the 3rd floor. And in order to use the lights and AC in the room, we have to insert one of our room cards in the slot by the entrance. After the porters left, our room started to beep. It was really odd and a bit creepy especially if you’re a solo traveler. We pulled card out and the lights shut off by itself, inserted it, closed and opened the door, etc. and nothing seems to be able to stop the beep. So a star off for that. Eventually we decided to go downstairs to inform the receptionist and they decided to switch our room. They gave us 3 rooms to select from. I was not comfortable looking at the 2 room numbers they wrote on the paper and insisted to look at only the 3rd one. We went in and it felt comfortable... no beeps and nothing unusual going on. The room was a bit hot so we turned on the AC and open the window since the AC was a bit slow to start. We later decided to head out to the city to explore, came back and the room was hot since the AC got shut off when the card got taken out off the slot. I really don’t understand how a 4-star hotel would have no AC on when entering a room. A motel would make sense but a 4-star hotel? But it is what it is. The room came with a fridge, towels, and 2 complimentary bottles of water. There’s no hair dryer but that’s okay. What really bothered me was the drain in the bathroom. The shower and the toilet was in the same room and without any partition. The drain was either too small or was clogged because within 2 minutes of showering, the floor was kind of flooded and I couldn’t wash my feet since it’s pretty much in the flooded floor afterwards. So another star off and decided to check-out after only one night here.

Real dirty looking pool. Booked this hotel for cool swim but could not use it at all. Room clean but the AC condencer out on small balcony made such a noise I could not sleep even with earplugs. Sounded like a Bus with the motor on ALL NIGHT. Breakfast not nice. When putting on AC during night the light in the hall comes on to🤔 sorry but its a shame they dont take time to fix pool, noise. Plenty of other nicer hotells nearby.
