Courtyard by Marriott Paso Robles

Average hotel. Nothing exceptional but I think it's the only place that charges parking in Paso Robles. A/C is super loud. They don't have water filters to refill water bottles except in the gym. Stay somewhere else. Most other equivalent hotels offer free breakfast & free parking.

The location was nice, and the room was comfortable.

They charged me again for the amount I paid through Booking. Noone knows how to reverse it. It caused anguish as I was unable to use $890 of my money for 2 days, then ultimately they processed a charged (not a hold) of $688. I had to file a claim with my bank. They are blaming Booking!! I will never stay here again.

I automatically assumed that I would have breakfast included as most high end places….

Close to everything! Well lit parking area. Friendly staff and clean facility.

It is very pricy for what it is. Rates are high for a basic hotel. I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite member. I always try to stay at Marriott/westin /Ritz Carlton,Sheraton, JW and W hotel properties. This was a convenient location. We had a bad experience. They are NOT dog friendly. Which was very surprising as ALL Marriott properties are very dog friendly. I always travel with my service dog. My dog barked because he saw a rat on the patio. he got a little upset . I was slapped with a $250 fine. you could barely hear the bark over the drunk loud people at the fire pit . (They however were not find?) The staff are young and need more training. They don’t know how to handle loyal customers or experienced travelers. This all could have been avoided if the evening staff were calm diplomatic and trained properly. The new renovations are great, however, the hotel has a corporate vibe. The fire pit was lovely and the outdoor bar staff were fantastic. Not a very well managed property. Will stay elsewhere next time .

All staff extremely professional. The Bistro morning breakfast Asian lady was incredible. Incredible attitude. Incredible service. All facets of her restaurant were immaculate. Food was perfect. Had fresh orange. Coffee delicious. Meals to perfection. We nicknamed her the “ Breakfast Dynamo”. We are in Simi Valley Courtyard now. Bistro breakfast was complete opposite of above. We would not ever eat in Marriott Bistro based on this experience. Food section poor. Fruit nearly spoiled. Coffee bland. Poor service. We did have a room heating issue. The maintenance guy was stellar!
