Room was disgustingly dirty. No one came to clean,take out garbage, replenish toilet paper nor bring clean towels. Half the furniture in the room was broken. Not a single machine in fitness center worked. The filter in the pool was barely working and there were no towels in pool area any of the days we were there.

Hotel hallway and room smelled very stale. Housekeeping was rude and did not restock toiletry items in the bathroom.

This hotel has a great location in Hampton, VA, close to malls, shops, restaurants, the Hampton Roads Convention Center and the Hampton Coliseum. The room was just ok. It was clean for the most part. The problem I had was the customer service was poor at best. The evening I checked in, the front desk clerk had a very bland attitude but she did grant my request for a high floor and room close to the elevator. I did not unpack right away because I was going right back out. When I returned to my room around 11 pm, the room was freezing. The thermostat was not working. I called the front desk and the phone rang about 25 times before being picked up. The clerk told me to try something with the unit under the window but that did not work. I called back down and again the phone rang about 25 times. I told the clerk the room was freezing and the thermostat was not working. She stated she would move me to another room and would send someone up with the new keys. About 10 minutes later, an elderly gentleman (I'm guessing maintenance) came up, shoved the keys in my hand once I opened the door and only said "I was supposed to get off 10 minutes ago" and walked away. I was so shocked! No one offered to help me move my things and now it is about 11:30 pm and I had to move all my stuff by myself. The next day, I went to iron and the ironing board fell apart. I called for a new one. Again, a different maintenance man came up (tall with glasses) and just shoved the ironing board inside the door. I had to make him take the broken one out. In fact, I only encountered one maintainance person with any personality whatsover. He had lockes in his hair. The front desk people put their heads down whenever you entered through the lobby so they could avoid speaking and housekeeping kept mopping the lobby floor in the middle of the day making it treacherous even though they had wet floor signs down. The clerk did not tell me when checking in that housekeeping service was only available upon request or every other day. Nor were there signs at the front desk to that effect. I'm used to staying in timeshares and doing my own cleaning but it would have been good to know so the trash could have at least been emptied. The cabinet that housed the refrigerator and microwave had wood so chipped at the bottom you would have gotten a splinter if you got close to it. I was not impressed and would probably not stay here again for the money they charged. The only thing good about this place was it's location.
