Fort Street Accommodation

Room is tiny and not very clean. Ensuite Bathroom had a hole in the wall that had been filled in with toilet paper. Toilet seat needed replacing. Marks all over the walls and the pillows were super dirty and badly needed replacing. I didn’t want to walk barefoot on the carpet either. The whole room just felt dirty.

This place is NOT suitable for humans!! I booked Fort St Accommodation NOT Fort St Hostel!! We stayed 1 night reluctantly and cancelled any further bookings however they still charged us for the 8/11/23. This place is disgustingly filthy and i will upload photos of the brown stained stinking pillows they expected us to sleep on. Please STEER CLEAR OF THIS CESS PIT

This was the worst place i have ever stayed! We booked in for 2 nights but only stayed one(reluctantly) as it was absolutley disgusting! It stunk and the bedding was filthy, the pillows were stained with yellow/brown marks on them. I had to sleep with a towel on it and my husband had his hand under his face. Hostel only maybe. Yuck!!

Surprise $100 bond on checking in. Shower was not cleaned before we got there. There was a big plaster from previous guest in the corner of it so not using that. Bed base was big but matress was much smaller than the base. Nothing in the room other than a bed. Ensure you take towels with you if you get a clean shower to use. Checkout was fine and bond refunded before leaving.

what a junk of a place- smelly and tired rooms . probably the worst accommodation in New Zealand

Dirty room, an odd smell, stains on bedsheets, cover cap missing from ventilation, heaps of mould on the ceiling, bathroom had a water pooling in the corner. Looks like it needed a proper deep clean once in a while.
