St Ives Apartments

Super central location, clean and comfortable.

Maybe could have snacks in room. and offer late check out.

Comfortable stay, easy check in. Booked an apartment with cooking facilities and was not disappointed. Lift access to rooms. Noise was minimal and unit was close to Hobart CBD and within walking distance.

Lights were all or nothing. Couldn’t put on individual area lighting in room.

Having stayed at St Ives several times before, the visit was much as expected. Excepting for one stand-out moment. Brittany was on duty at reception on Friday night when we arrived. As we approached the counter a fire alarm went off. She handled the situation with calm poise and equanimity (yes, I know that's tautological, but the emphasis is appropriate). Brittany even managed to smile gently as she directed us and others out of the building, and she kept that demeanour after we returned. It should also be noted she did not evacuate with us, she walked towards the risk (probably against policy, but I care less for that) to investigate the emergency (a burnt hamburger). Brittany's manner with people is so pleasant and confident - characteristics that build a sense of reliability and assurance in customers. She can have a great future in hospitality - and probably many other career paths. Take good care of her: she's a gem.
