Hotel Villas Lirio

Booked via Gate 1 tour. Small boutique hotel on the main road in Manual Antonio. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Taxi to beach. Pros: Tropical grounds and pool. Staff friendly. Great drinks and happy hour prices. Cons: Old hotel with maintenance issues. Elevator out of service, pool level bathrooms closed. Hot water not consistent. Rooms are dark and dated, nothing with a nice view. Pool and dining room chair cushions old and dirty. Breakfast food not good compared to other Costa Rica hotels. No coffee in room or in lobby (had to wait until breakfast opened at 7:00 AM). No water stations.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Excellent location, pretty swimming pool, good breakfast included. The room was large with an effective air conditioner. Extra tip for anyone traveling without a car, the local bus stops right by the hotel. It runs from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio beach (near national Park entrance). It made the Villas Lirio a very easy location for us

Me gustó lo espaciosa de la habitación . Las piscinas son bonitas y además el lugar tiene una mesa de Pool y futbolín que hizo mejor nuestra estancia

Había una reparación del baño cerca de la piscina entonces se tenía que estar trasladando gradas arriba al baño del restaurante . Me parece que hay poco personal , queríamos una bebidas y snacks en la piscina y no se tiene a quien solicitarlas . El desayuno es limitado y siempre lo mismo además las chicas nos presionaron a desayunar rápido dado que en varias ocasiones nos indicaron si requeríamos algo adicionar para recoger la comida . Además hablan entre ellas a alta vos no que no nos pareció bonito

Hay vegetación bonita y es un hotel que tendría potencial…

El hotel está bastante deteriorado, hay mucha madera que en algunas zonas de la habitación se caía a pedazos, el ambiente en general es un poco de abandono y lo peor sobre todo es que la habitación donde estuvimos ubicados estaba al lado de una carretera con muchísimo tráfico por lo que en vez de estar relajados en una área de naturaleza nos sentimos en una gran ciudad. Creo que esto es una problemática de muchos de los alojamientos de la zona…

Great stay, gated parking, great breakfast included, all staff was very nice and super helpful, location was in the heart of Manuel Antonio within walking distance of many great places for food and adventure. The room we stayed in had access to the second lap pool that is not available to all guests, which included a private lounge area with 2 lounge chairs and a table.

No gym, and would have been great to know ahead of time there is a ~15% discount when paying by cash versus credit card.

Traveling with Gate1, this place was lovely, BUT be aware, it is on the main drag and a corner...LOTS of traffic noise if you're in building 100. The courtyard is lovely. We could hear the birds and didn't see any monkeys, although, there are signs everywhere. They had a very good breakfast, too. There is a good variety of food straight across the street; I chose sushi, with open deck to see the sun setting....
