"Secluded and high aspirations"

8.0

Ka'ana has beautiful grounds and very friendly and helpful staff. They aspire to be a world class resort, but could still use some work on consistency of delivery. Our Master Suite was very spacious and comfortable, but the very pretty courtyard and plunge pool weren't very useful to us as the weather during our stay was very wet and not that warm. There is no fridge in the room other than the mostly full minibar. We had some mechanical issues with our room near the end of our stay and they worked hard to resolve and compensate for them. The restaurant was ok, but other than breakfast the food was only ok relative to the prices. Full breakfast was actually very good. This place is a ways from town so you either need to pay them to shuttle you to town or find a taxi if you didn't arrive with a car. If you are looking for solitude, that is a plus, if you want to explore more you need to factor in transportation.

"November in San Ignacio"

10.0

Ka’ana Resort was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to San Ignacio. The moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like VIPs who accidentally wandered into luxury. The property is stunning. Lush gardens, peaceful paths, and a pool that practically begs you to forget whatever plans you had for the day. Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. I’m still not sure how the bed was that soft, but I’ve accepted that my mattress at home will never live up to it. The food and drinks were amazing too. Every meal felt like something we should have taken pictures of but ate too quickly. What impressed us most was the service. Every single person we met was warm, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy we were there. It’s rare to stay somewhere that feels this personal and still completely effortless. Ka’ana is the perfect home base for all the adventures around San Ignacio, but also the kind of place where you seriously consider cancelling your plans and just staying by the pool with a cocktail. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting.

"Your adventures begin here"

10.0

Highly recommend this hotel. The service was impeccable, they were very attentive to our every need. We did 3 adventure tours through the hotel and they did not disappoint. Even chef Ceasar gave us a tour of the organic gardens and adapted the menu to our dietary needs. If you are looking for relaxation, adventure and pampering this is the place!

"Can’t Recommend It Enough!"

10.0

If you have the chance to visit San Ignacio, I’d definitely recommend staying at Ka’ana. The property is quiet in the heart of the rainforest—surrounded by lush tree and vegetation. The rooms were clean and comfortable with their own plunge pool! The staff were friendly and accommodating helping us with local tours recommendations and things to do around San Ignacio. We especially loved getting to know our bartender, Ismael! We really enjoyed the authentic food and even tried the cooking class offered at the resort where we learned authentic cooking of the Maya culture. It was so hard to leave this beautiful place but are so grateful we got to experience it.

"Ka’ana resort was great!"

10.0

We stayed 5 nights and had a great time. We had activities every day which were amazing but we did not book with resort so I can’t speak to that aspect of resort. Room was clean and spacious. Room cleaned daily with turn down service each night plus a small treat which was nice. Some treats were nicer than others but that’s personal taste. We ate dinner 4 nights and the food was very good. I had desert one night and that was only ok, but again personal choice. Included continental breakfast was great. I either had yogurt bowl or oatmeal. Both were great and adequate for continental. There was an option of full breakfast for additional cost. Fresh water in our room every day and more available upon request. Breakfast was delivered timely to our room to accommodate day trips and made to go as needed. Pool area was lovely with lots of towels available. Plunge pool was clean but a little cold. Staff are AMAZING!! Warm friendly and accommodating— everything you’d expect in a hospitality business.

"Relaxing Quiet Getaway"

10.0

We stayed at Ka'ana just before the season picked up in late October. We were warmly welcomed by helpful staff and were super impressed with our accommodations. The grounds are absolutely incredible and we took several walks around to see the plants and birds unique to the area. We will stay here again if we get back to Belize.

"Great!"

10.0

Ka’Ana resort was exactly what it means Heavenly place! We loved the atmosphere, the staff, and cleanliness. The front desk staff did a great job! They were so great to work with before we arrived, too. We utilized the airport pickup and drop off and they offered us water and soda for the ride. We booked the horseback ride to Xunantunich through Ka’Ana and Eddy was great guide! We also booked the Mayan cooking class and a mixology class with Ka’Ana. Both classes were hands on and fun! We learned about the food and drinks while we were preparing the food and drinks. We had the best time! The cooking ladies were hilarious and joked around with us which added to the fun. Victor was our bartender/instructor, he was patient and taught us a lot about the drinks. I don’t drink alcohol and he taught me how to make virgin Bloody Mary, virgin Blueberry mojito, and virgin “tequila” sunrise. My husband was able to choose his three alcoholic drinks and he picked Coconut mojito, Mango habanero margarita, and Moscow mule. We also booked a couples massage. I got the Mayan abdominal massage and my husband got a deep tissue massage. They did a great job! The food and drinks, at the restaurant, were delicious and the servers were great! While we had continental breakfast, I recommend trying items off the continental breakfast. We loved the fry jacks and other items, but I can’t remember how to spell them. Everything was delicious and straight from their garden! We visited the garden and were shown around by the staff. Miguel does a great job keeping the garden in top shape! The housekeepers come twice a day and they were great at keeping the room looking nice. We had the master casita, the plunge pool was great after a long day of adventures. The jets were a great massage for feet and legs. Every staff member greeted us with a smile no matter how busy they were they were always asking if we needed anything. They were very attentive. I was nervous about going during September, but while it did rain during our visit it didn’t rain all day. Even if it does Ka’Ana has a selection of umbrellas all over the resort and umbrella holders at your room door.

"Luxurious adventure"

10.0

Kaana is a perfect launching point for adventures in western Belize. Located close to many Mayan ruins and adventure experiences. They provided luxury in the jungle. Our stay was amazing. Staff all five stars, food on sight was great and room exceeded my expectations. Perfect size, clean, and ours had an amazing view of pool and large porch with hammock and table for the amazing breakfast we had each day. Walk the property, enjoy happy hour, talk to the friendly staff.
