Araucaria Hotel & Spa

Hotel is located in Plagne Centre next to the pistes. All the staff are exceptional, particularly those from the restaurant, front desk (Anaïs!), and ski shop. Breakfast buffet is until 10am and has wide variety. Extremely nice touch in having a fresh orange juicer available! Spa is a treat, with a sauna, hammam, ice room, indoor pool (with comfortable temperature), and children play area. My kids enjoyed the popcorn and candy provided daily while playing arcade games. Kids bathrobe are available but need to be requested.

Indoor parking is €15/day but it’s a bit tough to turn into as the entrance requires a narrow 90 degree turn which can be challenging for some drivers, particularly those with a larger car. Housekeeping was a bit disappointing as they didn’t clean our room one time when we put up the sign on the door asking for housekeeping, but it wasn’t an oversight as they bothered coming inside to drop off toys for the kids (which we did appreciate). Another time, we didn’t have toilet paper roll replaced/provided when clearly there wasn’t enough to last the evening (same goes for the box of tissues). Lastly, despite the hotel being conveniently located next to the pistes, it is located at the far end of one side, so it’s a bit of a trek especially in ski boots (5-10 mins) to the square where the restaurants and shops are mainly located. With that said, all are minor faults that wouldn’t deter me from staying here again as I can’t wait to come back!

사우나 시설이 아주 훌륭. 기복이 있긴한데 대체로 저녁식사도 맛있다.

리셉션 직원들이 느리다. 커넥티드 룸이었는데 가운데 문이 잠겨있었다. 가운데 문 열어달라고 두 번을 전화하고 40분을 기다려도 안오길래 내려갔더니 리셉션 두 명다 핸드폰을 보고 있더라. 내가 문 열게 열쇠달라하니 그제서야 어딘가에서 열쇠 가지고 와서 열아줬다.

Hotel is perfectly located for the main La Plagne ski area. It is close to the lifts and ski school and good variety of bars and restaurants. We have skiied here for the past 3 years with our 3 boys and love the hotel and resort.
