J'ai "hérité" d'une chambre située à l'arrière de la réception, les murs étant fins, quelle joie d'être réveillé à l'arrivé de chaque client !

Though location of hotel was close to Moskovsky Rail Terminal, its entrance to the hotel was via a car park along the street which was behind the actual address. There was also no lift within the hotel which means that you would have to carry your luggage from first to the second floor where the reception was and perhaps higher if your room was not on that level. Payment for registration fee via VISA required that the keying in of one's PIN which is a strange requirement for payment mode by credit card.

Reception located on the third floor, no elevator. OK. Then 3 more floors up to the room, narrow and steep stairs, still no elevator. Whatever, OK, I have a chance to loose couple of kilos. Evening. 30 degrees outside, no hot water in the shower when I am back to the room at 11 PM. Calling reception: "Sorry, we are doing our best to fix it!". OK. 8 AM next day. Still no hot water. Calling reeption again: "Yes, we remember about the problem. The Guy will come at 10 AM to fix it"- "WHY AT 10???" - "Because he starts at 10." - "..................." To be fair: the room itself was bright and clean.

Very nice location, but nevsky prospectIs a very busy road so quite loud. One big minus is lack of kettle and cups in the room and that was really annoying. Other than that not extra comfort but not bad.

Un hotel muy agradable, situado en un punto muy céntrico. todo muy bien. el trato un poco frío, pero creo que es la tónica general en rusia.

My stay here at Nevsky express was pleasant, To be honest I cannot fault the hotel or it's service.

I am a new traveler and I do not speak Russian. Basically the most I can say is please, thank you, hello, goodbye, how are you, and most importantly 'do you speak English?'. The hotel staff at the hotel was accommodating and most spoke English that I encountered. I highly suggest having the reception hall call for a taxi if you are not familiar with traveling by taxi in russia. It's safer and they can get you a better rate in most cases it seemed. The Nevsky express is located directly across from a cell phone shop, a clothing store, and there are plenty of other restaurants and coffee shops in the general area. Since you are also right on Nevsky you can pretty much walk all up and down Nevsky going to shops and restaurants all day. My room was always heat clean. The bathroom as nice and clean as well. Working the heater took me a minute to figure out but once I got it I was warmed up and cozy for my entire stay. The only one flaw is the bed. The bed is not the most comfortable thing. However, I slept very well each night (and sometimes during the day). Please k rep in mind that this hotel is directly facing Nevsky prospect which is extremely busy. You will hear cars and motorcycles sometimes until 2am right in front of you. They can be loud. I believe all hotels on Nevsky will be like this so if you cannot sleep next to it then find somewhere that is not right on Nevsky,,, but then you are missing out on a huge convenience.

Standard 3/4 star hotel with a great location on the middle of Nevsky prospect. A bit noise due to the traffic on Nevsky prospect.
